He's right. 50 had two smash hit albums and then slowly slipped out of relevance. If not for being on the most important rap label at the time, with the best cosigns you can have...he would have disappeared even faster.

I actually think the Curtis album was good. It was just at the time where people were tired of the bully thing. Had he never challenged Kanye he would have outsold him easy. 50 had solid albums but NY had been dead for the last 10 years.

50 cent was signed to rocafella??:dwillhuh:

Only one of those songs has P holding his own and that's the Silkk song. "Where Do We Go From Here", P's verse was allegedly penned by MAC. Cube was not lyrically sparring with P on their song.

lol @ "cube was not lyrically sparring on that song".

master p's verse was better. point blank period.

Hip Hop music has roots in The South:

by that logic, it has roots in the west & midwest as well.

youre trying way too hard right now.

Son I’m honestly tired u fukkin quoting me with lies or speaking on shyt that u ain’t been around. U NOT FROM NYC nikka U DONT KNOW WHAT WE WAS THINKING. I will NEVER try to tell u what the fukk Philly nikkas was doin cause I’m not from there. U STAY overcompensating to seem “unbiased”. It’s clown shyt. I don’t know what the fukk y'all nikkas thought in Philly but please stop speaking on NYC cause u don’t know the climate here and it’s been proven time and time again U don’t know what the fukk u be talkin bout when it comes to this city.

:what::dahell:

you must be dyslexic or something. go back and read my post, i didnt speak on what was poppin in new york. i CLEARLY stated that YOU have a tendency to assume that what was hot in new york was hot everywhere - which is what you were doing earlier in the thread.

and yes you do be on that tip.
like that time you were arguing me down about murda muzik being a thing, and i kept telling you that was just some new york chit. we werent on that over here.
you even brought that chit up out of nowhere last week, cuz youre still in your feelings about it.

dont play yaself brohski.

@Homeboy Runny-Ray TI’s point is a hypothetical that can’t be proven

I’m dealing in reality.

it IS reality.

the double standard existed.

ehhh after what he did to chingy I don't know about that one:mjcry:

word??

what nelly do to chingy??

And it’s still a terrible comparison. 50 had songs like HEAT, U Not Like Me, Many Men, and Back Down on his album, It’s not the same kinda music or nothin. It’s a horrible comparison.

meh

nelly had harder songs on country grammar than some of these.

This is 100% alternative facts.

Kanye West estimated record sales is 22M and Nelly’s is 22M.

nelly sold more than 22 mil man, comeon.

also, he sold these albums on far less attempts than kanye.

im gonna back up off this chit tho, now that i saw the full video.

this chit started when TIP tried to say that he made 5 classic albums, and his argument when they didnt cosign him was that "its because yall in new york"(even tho theyre not even from NY).

TIP didnt even have to deal with east coast bias like that. those days were dying out by the time he blew up, and it was definitely over when he was having his big run.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
TI can actually make complete bodies of work and hit records

Those Ny artist can’t
Imo outside of Trap Musik and Urban Legend Jadakiss has a similar body of work to TIP. TIP actually suffers from the same issue when it comes to albums. He don’t got an unskippable project front to back. And Banks Hunger For More is more than a complete body of work. That’s a dope album right there. And all 3 have hit records.

Like I said before. TIP outside of Trap Musik and Urban Legend have that same issue as Jada. And Kiss is a whole legend out here stop actin like he some scrub against TIP. TIP got more hits. But so did Fab and we saw what happened wit that. TIP TO ME. Has a classic album. But TIP don’t have no perfect album. He follows the same formula that Kiss uses. A track for everything, club bangers, love joints, street joints, deep joints, etc etc.

This.

Dude actin' like he dropped in 1991 or some shyt...

...and even then, if he had made a joint strong as 'Mind Playin'Tricks On Me', he coulda blown in NY but I digress...

A MF who blew in the 2000s can't use that New York excuse. He gotta be either trollin' or scapegoatin'.
