TIP wasnt dissing nelly. he was trying to prop nelly up. TIP just isnt as smart & eloquent as he thinks he is.

but anywhoo i see what he was really trying to say. theres alot of non-lyrical new york rappers that slipped thru and either got treated as great lyricists because they made native tongue or '90s boom bap style records, or in 50 cent's case - theyre not neccessarily treated as a great lyricist but get a pass for being basic or at times - remedial.

now while i wouldnt say 50 cent in his heyday was bullchit(TIP in his feelings), he likely would be seen as a mediocre emcee if he wasnt from the east coast, especially new york.

Nelly isn’t propped up at all and dissed by a lot of people for being a corny mainstream hit making rapper which is basically exactly what 50 was during his prime but people never say this about 50. He’s just pointing out the hypocrisy.
