Are you saying 50 is a bad lyricistThis isn't even about bias. It is one thing to be bias, but in The South, I don't recall anyone making personal attacks on other coasts. On the East, you had people coming at The South sounding like white folk who make fun of Black people i.e. "ya'll don't even know how to talk, so how ya'll supposed to know how to rap". "Ya'll slow and dumb" are all East Coast references toward The South. Yeah, granted a lot of rappers down here aren't that great at lyricism, but neither is a lot of East Coast rap. 50 is a good example.

Can't compare.
On the flip, If you took Nelly and placed him n Queen's, would it be the same?
Nope.
Nelly was marketing to woman and made songs for women.
Fif was for the streets and did some some pop records.
This.
Dude actin' like he dropped in 1991 or some shyt...
...and even then, if he had made a joint strong as 'Mind Playin'Tricks On Me', he coulda blown in NY but I digress...
A MF who blew in the 2000s can't use that New York excuse. He gotta be either trollin' or scapegoatin'.
Power Of A Dollar he’s more lyrical and on his earlier mixtapes as well. He explained why he switched his style up on In The Club. Plus he still showed flashes of it on tracks like Baltimore Love Thing. Not being great =/= bad. 50 has his moments and those are often his better songs i.e. "Many Men" and "Hustler's Ambition". He also has some elementary/cheesy lyrics in his stash too: "I love you like a fat kid love cake" on "21 Questions".
Nelly wasn’t a fluke at all. I don’t get that. U can’t look at The Coli as the barometer for anything. shyt I remember I dead finessed some dumb ass nikka who wanted Country Grammar so bad he traded me his brother’s Makaveli 7 Day Theory CD after my shyt got stolen. They wasnt printing new ones around that time so u couldn’t cop from the store.dudes wildin in here, proving TIP to be correct.
people in here talembout nelly was a fluke.
two diamond albums is not no f*cking fluke.
lol. are you seriously gonna pretend that 50 cent wasnt heavily marketed towards women??
and 50 cent has a higher percentage of pop singles than nelly does.
yall really proving TIP right.
i mean, it was still going on in the early 2000s, so i rock with him on the nelly thing. people still downplaying nelly in this very thread.
but as far as TIP's career goes, he blew in the mid-2000s. there was no big bias by that point.
21 Questions was a pop song what rapper don’t have corny lines in thoseNot being great =/= bad. 50 has his moments and those are often his better songs i.e. "Many Men" and "Hustler's Ambition". He also has some elementary/cheesy lyrics in his stash too: "I love you like a fat kid love cake" on "21 Questions".

It was never about accents bro. With NY back then it all came down to actually having mic skills & if you didn't you were called wack. Some regions are still hurt & sensitive because of that.
TI, Jeezy, & especially Luda all had skills & were accepted. Just like NY accepted Face back in the day & Death Row as whole (especially prime Snoop)
I’m going to say this and this is it. TI has more radio/commercial anthems. And 50 has more street cuts. It’s really tough to do a TI vs 50 battle because 50 has a legendary mixtape run which we can’t exclude. Matter of fact 50 made the mixtape circuit than Wayne took to the next level. So we cant forget about his mixtape run before his deal with Aftermath.
Nelly > TI
For one. So what? Number 2. It ain’t just about overall skills. NY as a whole accepts dope shyt if it’s dope. Simple as that. nikkas was complaining about us hating on the South while majority of our shyt we was bumpin at one point was south shyt. NY wasn’t even bumping their own artists like that for a good amount of years.not impressed.
i never heard a 50 verse that i wish i wrote.
since when was young jeezy such a skilled emcee??
Why u say Tip never wrote his shyt? Where u get that from?nelly wrote his records.
not sure why ti trying to talk and he never wrote none of his shyt.
except that album that flopped with the clef single.
ti can't even diss fiddy because we know fiddy wrote his larger records.
with, ti..
clifford never wrote none of his records of note or lore.
art barr
50’s street hits is shyt like Many Men, What Up Gangsta, Ski Mask Way, Whip Your Head Boy, Wanksta, Patiently Waiting, The Realest nikkas feat Eminem, All Eyez On Me feat 2Pac, Poppin Them Thangs, Hustlers Ambition, I Get Money, In My Hood, I’m Supposed to Die Tonight, My Buddy, etc etc. And this ain’t even including his mixtape shyt like I Smell p*ssy or his features like Hate Or Love It and How We Do. Son get outta here. Lol50 didnt make the mixtape circuit. but yea, he did take it to another level.
wayne capitalized but he watered the mixtape circuit down actually. he didnt take anything to another level.
TIP put way more street hits on the radio than 50 cent.
we gotta end this myth that 50 cent has all these street hits. all that chit is a marketing facade. the vast majority of his hits are str8 pop tart.
Why u say Tip never wrote his shyt? Where u get that from?
