as evidenced by this proposed site being not actually availble once he received the funding.

Homie said that the reason for the multipurpose building was to help the residents of Crenshaw, he had a timeline that he wanted the money by so you'd assume that everything would be lined up and once he got the funding the land would be secured and he'd break ground in a timely mannor.

Imagine if he said Give me the money now and I'll decide at a later date when and where I will build it out at some unspecified later date.
this is all new. There's no reason that wouldn't or couldn't still happen

There weren't any disclaimers in the campaign. Again had he said Give me the money and I'll build a mueseum at a unspecified time in the future he probably wouldn't have gotten the milly. He said if I don't get it in a month I'll return the money. He magically recieved the money at the last minute. He said he wanted it to be built in Crenshaw.

He could always rent out a building temporarly and stock it if he wanted to deliver something a reasonable time frame.

Umar could temporarily house his school in another building until the building he has is fully renovated. The FDMG academy and the Hidden History Mueseum could totally happen, but if the ribbon cutting ceremony happens in August 8 2048 they'd be seen as frauds eventhough the building were actually built.
We know how real estate works. He don’t need to give no disclaimers. Just say you don’t know how real estate works and stop attempting to hate. Every project Tariq has received money for he has delivered.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture in DC cost $540 million to build and open.

It took 30 years and acts of Congress to make it happen.

Maybe Tariq needs to consult with Lonnie Bunch, who actually built the DC museum. He wrote a whole book about the experience.

A Fool's Errand: Creating the National Museum of African American History and Culture in the Age of Bush, Obama, and Trump
by Lonnie G. Bunch III

Founding Director Lonnie Bunch's deeply personal tale of the triumphs and challenges of bringing the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture to life. His story is by turns inspiring, funny, frustrating, quixotic, bittersweet, and above all, a compelling read.

In its first four months of operation, the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture surpassed one million visits and quickly became a cherished, vital monument to the African American experience. And yet this accomplishment was never assured. In A Fool's Errand, founding director Lonnie Bunch tells his story of bringing his clear vision and leadership to bear to realize this shared dream of many generations of Americans.

Outlining the challenges of site choice, architect selection, building design, and the compilation of an unparalleled collection of African American artifacts, Bunch also delves into his personal struggles--especially the stress of a high-profile undertaking--and the triumph of establishing such an institution without mentors or guidebooks to light the way. His memoir underscores his determination to create a museum that treats the black experience as an essential component of every American's identity.

This inside account of how Bunch planned, managed, and executed the museum's mission informs and inspires not only readers working in museums, cultural institutions, and activist groups, but also those in the nonprofit and business worlds who wish to understand how to succeed--and do it spectacularly--in the face of major political, structural, and financial challenges.

06-2011 was vintage tariq. After Trayvon Martin was murdered he saw a unoccupied lane in the new and growing black conscious community of the 21st century and capitalized on black people’s emotion. 2012/2013 he started getting into YouTube beefs and by late 2015-early 2016 this nikka completely went off the rails and derailed and here we are today.
That fbi visit was the downfall.

I went over there and the process to get citizenship is pretty straight forward.

Think being made honorary chief means anything brehs, fukk that think that being the actual chief gets you anything in African capitals brehs
What was the process like getting citizenship and for what country did you get it in?

I've long eased up on Tariq because he seems to be entering old age, where he just yells get off my lawn. He's good for entertainment...some gems here and there...but that's bout it. His time has mostly passed.

He (and a lot of other black people) are stuck and can't rise no higher. He will die and recycle because he's fully immersed in the black vs white thing.

I thought him building a museum was a terribly wasteful idea. Who the fukk is visiting LA on Crenshaw to see that museum??? So even if it was built, it would be a waste. Just more for his resume.

With this said, I don't see him as a scammer. A scammer us someone who has no intention of providing a service or product you pay for. Like Umar, he simply bit off more than he could chew.

People calling him a scammer because he doesn't work in the traditional sense. They hate that he makes money with his mouth and intellect. To a lot of Black people and immigrants if you're not sweating on a job, you're scamming.

You will see Contempt on other black peoples face because of this or if you use any word synonymous with “break” or “relax”. Then the “lazy” stereotypes start. This is the one part of black respectability I despise. You have to John Henry yourself to get any common decency. Ive done hard manual labor, in the hot sun and cold, the only trophy you get is a hurt back. Tariq is an inflammatory figure but it’s clear as day that some of these dudes wanted to be him and feel mad he started calling out anti-BA behavior. I respect him being smart, but I don’t respect the lengths of his opportunism at times
