Im surprised(but shouldnt be) that the media didnt really question DeCosta at all about some of his roster decisions recently and how big of a part he played in us falling off
It was clear that they think hes doing a good job and Harbs was at fault for not developing his players

thats what I originally thought but its clear that Harbs was the leaking all the lies trying to save his job
even the stuff leaked after he was fired about him not wanting to fire Moken was bs
Biscotti said John wanted to fire both coordinators and hire a whole new staff but he didnt want to let him do that when he knew he'd probably end up firing John a year later so he just did it now
Harbs is just a scumbag
he was willing to lie and throw whoever he had to under the bus to keep that job

My point is that the Ravens need to focus on pass rushers and not this dumb ass priority on defensive backs they've been on the last couple years.
Crosby was a 7th round pick. Talent can be found everywhere in the draft. They need to stop overlooking the pass rush.

they've put alot of resources into that position

they just need a coach who has a good scheme and can develop players
Oweh having 10.5 sacks with the Chargers since being traded shows that our staff just wasnt getting the best out of the players we had
I dont think the defense needs as much work as most people think
trading for Maxx and adding an interior dlineman in the draft would make us elite IMO
the offense is in much worse shape IMO

Makes sense and his character has always been to throw everyone else under the bus. I don't believe this stuff coming out recently and as far back as last year, where Harbs has everyone's back...bologna.
I believe they covered:
-Madubike's injury/contract situation
-Lamar's extension
-Roster construction (building through the draft vs acquiring free agents)
-Pros and Cons of acquiring via trade
-Nearly trading for a prominent pass-rusher
Which other questions should the media have asked DeCosta?
In my opinion, it's always going to come down to Harbaugh having too much roster control of the game-day inactives.
It's crazy how they don't understand it on the Ravens subreddit.

I disagree quite a bit. We have 1 maybe 2 pieces on the OL but we need to invest heavily into it. If Lamar is going to be our QB we can't keep trying to do the bare minimum. His responses sound like someone who doesn't really have a plan. I hope I'm wrong.
I know what you meant but you can't just do what Houston does without their talent. You can't just rush 4 if your 4 can't get consistent pressure. You're putting the cart before the horse.
There aren't a bunch of Crosby's out there. That's an extremely rare 1/1000 pick. Most of the league leaders in sacks were taken in rounds 1-2 but there's way more busts than pro bowlers. You gotta get a good DC who can coach guys up and manufacture pressure. Hopefully you find a star in the draft but KC took two players to help the pass rush and they had like 2 sacks combined. It ain't easy.
