The invention of race was one of humanity's biggest mistakes
Race wasn't a human invention, it was a social, economic, and logistical invention, created by a group of humans, new on the world scene, that only knew how to figure out their place in the world by placing everything and everybody else into pretty little boxes for their own understanding.
It's like taking a toddler and placing them into a world they don't readily understand.
You have to teach them with building blocks to understand the basics, before you can begin to teach them the more abstract ways in which this world really works.
What ended up happening is, the toddlers realized that they could just break and dismantle what they didn't understand to have their way, they continued to grow in influence while the adults handled them with kid gloves, and we all had to end up suffering through their teen and early adult years, before they realized that destruction may not be the best way to go about things when you don't understand them.
They still haven't reached adulthood, but hopefully they'll be there soon.
