So they gave Luka the heads up?

I wonder if the idea is to kinda phase LeBron out?

hopefully🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

whats funny is he was actually in the media today crying about ring culture but it got overshadowed because of this news.

It's time for him and his weak ass shyt to go.

My bad bruh....quoted your post by mistake. Didn't he try to renege on the sale due to the new valuation showing he was "losing out" on a shyt ton of dough tho?
Yea, he tried to void the deal. The 1.5B price was agreed upon in 2021. With the new tv deal and Ant making noise, it's probably worth double that at least now :manny:

The dragged-out, convoluted process of Lore and Rodriguez buying the team started four years ago. This unique sale process involved Lore/Rodriguez essentially buying the team in installments at a $1.5 billion price tag, with all sides agreeing to this process in 2021.

The dispute arose around the final payment of that sale, which Taylor voided, saying it came after the prescribed deadline. However, Lore and Rodriguez argued that they did turn in the paperwork on time, and the sale agreement allowed for an extension of 90 days to finalize the deal if their financing was in place before the deadline — and it was despite changing financing partners. Rodriguez and Lore argued that Taylor simply had seller’s remorse (maybe in part because the value of the franchise skyrocketed in the years after the sale).

The disagreement went to arbitration, and the panel agreed with Lore and Rodriguez. Taylor could have appealed but chose not to. The sides have now agreed to finalize the deal.

If it was up to him, he would not be selling the team. So bringing up the Timberwolves selling for 1.5B based on old data in 2021 isnt really telling all the facts for a team selling in 2025. If it was based on 2021 stuff, that piece of the lakers the Buss family sold wouldnt be selling for 10B either.

So if the buss famly only sold 51% of the 66%(still hold 15%) they had, that means Lakers could be worth close to 20B for all of it :ehh:
I don't think that is how it works.
They are selling their shares based on 100% of the Lakers being valuated at $10 Billion.
So in reality the Buss family is getting ~$5 Billion for their 51% share of the team.

Not at all. But the Wizards or the T'Wolves ain't selling for half of that. Lakers/Celtics ain't the rest of the league. T'Wolves majority stake + the WNBA team went for less than $1.7 billie. The Lake Show by itself went for 10-figures. Not the same. The problem would've been if they sold for less
MJ sold his majority of the Charlotte Hornets for ~$3 Billion valuation.
Wizards can get at least that.

Not how the NBA works anymore, they handcuffing you when you're in the aprons. You not even allowed to overpay for shyt. Expect more scrubs around Luka and Bron :blessed:
The Lakers aren't in an apron as yet, correct me if I am wrong...and if it's the 1st apron a new owner will over pay..
So a new owner with 2 faces of the NBA that just paid 10 billion isn't fukkin around for future results

Not yet, when the flabby head is sent packing I'll decree we are byke
Serious question back to what? before flabby dragged you down, he didn't get there until 2019:

2013-2014: 27-55
2014-2015: 21-61
2015-2016: 17-65
2016-2017 : 26-56
2017-2018: 35-47

Real talk why do Lakers fans (Kobe guys) literally try to erase the real before LeBron got there and act as if this wasn't your reality but somehow he has drugged the franchise down to depths of hell and mind you the Lakers have won a title since he's been there.

And the franchise has gotten 2 top 10 players because he was there:
AD and then Luka..
And in reality nobody wanted to come to LA and play with Bean..
