soccer is boring
run around for hours for a 0-0 tie brehs
(as I'm watching Belgium & England kick the ball back n forth and go nowhere)

deadass.Even if black kids don't wanna play, there's no reason for the US to be so mediocre.
at basketball and skill positions in football too.I think the point is that being a barrier to participating at all. Just like no basketball coach is going to thing a kid is a potential prospect from seeing him play in a driveway, there has to be a starting point. In order to get recognized by big scouts (European) and get into those Euro academies/big clubs you need to play organized football. A lot of cats talking about you can play with anything, but no scout is going to take you serious if you playing with a size 3 ball in your sandals at the corner park. That's where the money factor comes in, you need to be in a traveling team, rent out quality pitch/field, uniforms, refs, goals/nets, traveling expenses, etc.
I remember Landon Donovan being interviewed by Michael Kay said he was in Florida and after a game scouts from Bayer Leverkusen approached him and asked him if he wanted to play with them, and off to Europe he was. They wanna see you play in quality conditions and make sure you're worth the investment.
Honestly US soccer isn’t that bad, World Cup isn’t the end all ... Italy, Netherlands, Ghana, Wales didn’t make the cup joe to be fair the play in much harder contitnentsbfor qualification but still US is ranked top 25 by FIFA .. The US team didn’t make it because the team acts entitled not because they didn’t have enough talent to make the CUP., USA isn’t some powerhouse but they should always make the CUP and they had talent but they started acting like they was the shyt and Brazil or some shyt

I just looked at the recap from yesterday and saw the players and totally agree.Low key the USMNT is building a squad of youth and kids from all over. Not all rich white kids.
