A nation is a new country... it won't be born peacefully or dwell peacefully next to the "Old" country. America was never going to let a new country rise anywhere near it's borders PEACEFULLY. Damn near no country in the world would go for this peacefully. That isn't to say it isn't deserved or anything else just the ideal you have is naive. The second you declare independence you are national threat number one for an infinite amount of reasons, majority of them being Black people have real grievances with America, they would fear retaliation and also international influence, treat it worse than Cuba. Now if you talking about something like what happened with Liberia or even the formation of Israel... yeah sure thing, As long as the Nation is as far away as possible from America its more likely to be a reality. your response is all emotion no logic. the way you argue and debate shyt is all emotion no logic.
This is why I think there was such a concerted effort to destroy and destabilize Black Nationalist movements.
They were considered a threat to the status quo, NOT JUST because they wanted equal rights but the questioned
the very foundation that America stood upon.
From their so called democracy to the capitalism which fueled it.
You start looking at the speeches and writings of these great individuals and it's blatantly obvious why things happened
the way they did.
shyt, many of their ideas are still considered too radical today.
