The Nitty/Twork style of battle rap, or more specifically, the championing of that style, has really ruined battle rap for me. The shyt is low-brow, idc how intricate nikkas think it is. They're talented indeed, but they've implemented a cheap ass formula that has these fans brainwashed. I'm thankful that guys like Lux & Mook are doing well in this era and still bringing the necessary balance to battle rap. Cal has a similar unorthodox approach to writing/rhyming, and I'm really hoping he beats Nitty clearly to help curtail that movement,

Yeah man…Rum my guy and Twork is (was) on pace to be my fav battler ever but yeah, I watched like 4 of his most recent battles last night and I definitely see what his naysayers are talking about…he used to be a much better writer imo, his shhit is wild lazy and rushed sounding now, just some rhyming shhit for 3 bars and then a haymaker attempt…and repeat and repeat.

It actually sounds like he be writing/coming up with that shhit the day before and day of now. The punches don’t even be that crazy either tbh, of course he has his moments but for the most part ehh. He needs to focus on writing, he too focused on Balenci hoodies and chattin on Spaces and red raggin and being drunk, bro goofy lowkey. He needs a mentor or sumn, Lux or somebody
