Unfortunately I'm not surprised at all sno won the whole thing
2014 and black people still suffer from the give the white guy a chance show time at the Apollo syndrome. We see a white boy do anything decent we get easily amazed and overhype it. Still all rooted in our self hatred complex.
You would figure after mook broke all this down vs Solomon we would get the picture. Not to say sno didn't beat ha double cause he did. But I'm sure it's going to be some heavy overhype down the line for sno.
I agree. The whole "I'm surprised this white guy can rap" look on their face during his rounds was ridiculous, when it's 2014 & there are plenty of capable white battle rappers. There's a reason many guys refuse to battle white dudes or even females.
However, it's too soon to say if he did or didn't deserve to win until all the footage drops.
I've always felt Sno had a good chance simply because the priority is to win in the room. Sno doesn't say anything that is over the listener's head. You can catch everything he is saying.
The way the UFF is designed, these guys had to come to the event with 9 rounds. I read somewhere KG the Poet came with 10 rounds. I believe the whole event was recorded in a day. Norbes said the guys had more time this year so it may have been a weekend. Regardless, you had to come with the rounds done.
This is also on national tv, so I would not be surprised if we see more chokes & stumbles. Hell nearly all the vets choked on the "Road to Slaughter."
All I'm saying is under a format like this, I think it will look clear on footage. It doesn't necessarily mean he's the best one on the show, it just means that he brought 9 consistent rounds without choking or stumbling. It isn't like the guy is unbeatable. KG the poet beat him clearly in their pg battle. Sno's subject matter is limited to fukking your mother & shouting out his twitter name. If these PG guys can't handle that then they don't deserve top tier guys. KG shut that shyt down easily in their match. Can't remember how I scored his battle with Ty law, but I remember Ty being consistent throughout while Sno had some dry spots at times.
He could have also got favorable match ups. Looking at the bracket, he had HA Double first. I like Ha Double, but he wouldn't do well in this format. Sno faces the winner of Ah Di Boom/Meyers. If Ah di Boom beat Myers (which I consider an upset), I can see Sno killing Ah Di Boom. Since Sno won this tournament, I have doubts KG made it to the finals, which means it could either be Prez or Jay Rell. I could see Sno beating either of those guys. Prez does nothing for me at all & Jay Rell can be extremely sloppy, because he can freestyle. He has to learn to rely on writtens & to use freestyles as an asset.
