I think there is more money to be made in having a ladder with legit rankings.

... and really it comes down to getting good judges.

what the point is the point of "judging" the battles, since it's all subjective and there isn't an objective crtieria to judge properly a rap battle

When the "we need judges because I need someone to tell me how to think" argument started. I asked all of the people for having judges how do you judge a bar. None of them have gotten back to me yet. Judging would cause more problems than it will fix.
