And Pen isn't ALL but it's a significant part of battling, and Cal lacks it. A LOT

Cal doesn't lack a pen game breh. He does ENOUGH to win battles. He's better than Rex at the pen is he not? Better than Holla for sure.

the argument is not who overall is the better lyricist or "rhymer"

everybody from here to amsterdam will tell you lux is a better overall lyricist

but battle rap is more than lyricism.

x factor was 10x the lyricist charlie clips was in they 1 rd joint, but x energy and delivery was lazy as hell. therefore by default clips took that.

if it was just a argument on who is the better lyricist, then why battle at all? on paper we can decide who better lyrically at this point since everybody in the shyt got a body of work with battles and mixtape music.

you judge by who was better that night, in several categories. artist like calicoe, hitman, clips , goodz are probably stronger in performance and jokes than they are skilled lyrically. but that dont automatically take them out of top tier. cause in a battle on a given night its about whose strengths stand out more that night.

so to make "well lux is a better lyricist" the argument for lux in a overall battle rap is useless for my judgement. maybe not for others and thats cool, but for mine i judge a lot more.

Lux a better performer than Calicoe too. All Calicoe does is stand in place.

Maybe you mean Calicoe's clarity/delivery is better, which on a big stage, I agree with.

well me i disagree for me it's mostly about lyrics for me not saying u don't need delivery because u do that's apart of it but if u don't got bars what is the point of rapping.

you were there, so i def give you the edge on seeing lux get busy live,

but i have heard many others who were there that night saying lux was not that great on stage as far as performing, which is why i say i want to really wait til the footage drop to really declare a winner.

but i cringe like a mu' fukah with that lux choke and again when he saying "im go kill you with a verse and a half" and all the times he repeating his lines before he goes to another set up.

the actual footage might make this non debatable.

You cant watch calicoe vs heartless and say cal not good with the pen although I think that was his peak pen wise he has taking the approach of real rap in his battles

That takes away from the bars because that's not the focus of attack

crowd was not fair to Iron, he wasnt spittin THAT bad in the 3rd and they booed him like he was spitting the worst shiiit ever, not to mention they let Mook give this long ass setup to expose Irons life and then when Iron was basically doing the same thing they didnt let him even get to the punch, Diddy yelling time like a fool, crowd ruined that battle.

Lux won pretty easily but it is pretty fukkked up that Lux could choke a whole round and nothing and Cal barely slips up and got booed crazy
