I just thought about something what if Clips get on his bullshyt and try to make nikkas be OD strict with the time limit and try to cut Lux rounds short? At least UW let nikkas go unlimited last round for sake of the battle

That's the best thing he can do, because Lux will rap forever if you let him... and Clips has complained about time limits before. I'm not sure how people are going to take Clips bytching about the time limit though if Lux is really giving him that work (like how Cal was begging Smack to call time when Lux was going in on his pops).

It's like what exactly is Ty Law going to do up on that stage? Have we ever seen Ty Law captivate a big crowd? This is Summer Madness we are talking about. Last time I checked, Ty Law's last battle was B. Magic, and that dropped 2 months ago. He got to battle him in a small room, which plays to his strengths. It's not like he's been forgotten about.
If I'm Ty Law I don't see any reason to rush anything. His first stage battle should not be in front of over a thousand people. If Chilla is back on URL, who is he going to battle? If Danny Myers is back on URL, who is he going to battle? If Danja Zone is back on URL, who is he going to battle? Plenty of match-ups for Ty Law available now. They were going to set him up with Bill at some point, but that's doubtful now.

And I'm not gassed off of the K-Shine battle, because I knew Wavy was main stage material after his PG with Ah Di Boom. The bars haven't improved since then, but it is what it is. Ain't nobody trying to pay to see Ty Law's Zorak looking ass on a Summer Madness stage.

At least not yet.

Not sure why anyone pushes the bar heavy nigs to the mainstage... Crazy thing is, it's the same dudes who have demonstrated that they understand the main stage is not a testament to rapping ability, it's a nod to their assumed mainstage appeal. I too think Ty is dope, but mainstage? Nah. It'd be a complete waste of bars right now and it'd probably hurt his image. He'd be 10x better off taking his type of style to an RBE stage, where the crowd wants bars just as much as performance, and where he'd get a pretty good matchup.

Give em' one of those URL off cards (Redemption, Traffic) and see if he adjusts to the room size. It's a shame how LONG he's been on ice though.

fukk Mr Wavy. nikkas acting like his performance is out of this world.. If that nikka lived anywhere other than NYC, Smack wouldn't give that fool the time of day.

Im sick of this performance nonsense being mentioned when it comes to battlers. At the end of the day, this is fukking rap, not acting/theater. If you don't want to see the best rappers rap then fukk you!

After watching Beasley's interview on Hot 97, and thinking about it... you can tell Redemption was experimental for URL to see how the lesser known guys do on the main stage without a top tier to anchor the card - ie Surf, Clips, Lux, Hollow, Hitman, Conceited. (aka the million views out the gate "mainstream" guys)

Redemption did well but I don't think it was a blockbuster event for URL. I'm pretty sure it didn't sell out the Grammercy whereas NOME/ SM sell out Irving Plaza (bigger venue).

Until a Redemption type card exceeds expectations financially we're probably going to always see at least 2-3 of the guys I mentioned above get booked.
