yo this official vs hustle though, i even noticed live that hustle was shaking her head like i fukk with it on some of officials bars but the crowd was crickets, that also clued me in smtg was up besides the obvious cheering section but this shyt was crazy, i wasnt at sm2 but rex/verb is the only battle i could imagine being worse, like theres no battle ive seen that comes close to this bias and i been to mad events, big leagues, small leagues, queen of the ring event at irving no holds barred. like yeah i might say oh crowd wasnt fukking with verb but its nowhere near this level. shyt was fixed, i was somewhat heated not cause i care who wins but i hate that type of bias like nikkaz ruining battles now for real
same way i felt watching that bull shyt :mjcry: them nikkas was booin Official from her very first bar to her last

overall this was prolly the shyttiest crowd i ever seen at a major event..... nikkas booed Clips then 2 seconds later was chantin 3-0 :mindblown:

Gjonai vs. Dizaster KOTD official

They're both overrated imo but Diz been writing more for his recent ish and Gjonaj is overrated but still damned good. This is the perfect setting for the battle too, in the pit with no mics...both guys should thrive in that setting. The whole card is pretty sick.

I don't think Gjonaj is overrated at all so far. Dude's pen is stupid. Diz.. we all know the story. He flashes. I just hope he's the Diz he was vs Math so we can get a memorable battle.

Reposting this here since it seems like nigs fell back in to the old routine:

So I fell back on posting in the update thread and let this battle sink in. Also wanted to let the fair weather forum traffic die down so some half decent discussion can be had.

I had a few observations/opinions that maybe aren't going to be popular, but I think are worth saying. Oh, I should warn the trolls and idiots.. This post is going to say positive and negative things about BOTH rappers because that's what TBZ's quality posters do.

1. A lot of folks are saying Clips was rattled in the 3rd and broke down. I actually thought that aggression he put into that round gave it a little more power. The early freestyles were not great, but the meat of the round was good and delivered by a Clips that actually seemed to give a fukk (isn't that what we wanted?). The Lions Den/Ice thing was dope and the backward/forward thing was dope because of his flow.

2. Lux first round was a display of lyrical ability that will grow on you on cam. It may not change your vote, but it will make more sense why so many are saying his shyt went over heads. That said, that round was Lux showing off expert footwork, endurance, agility but never going for a knockout... and that's why there's a large number of folks giving Clips the first.

3. Clips started off his first round with 8 excuse bars.:clips:That said, his first was a focused Clips round, like it or not. For you real battlerap fans, however, this round is not going to have much staying power. You've probably already done a rewatch or two where you're noticing it.

4. I'm not cool with Lux being awarded that third round because of a paperwork antic. That isn't a display of battling ability to me. It's entertainment, it was personal, and that's ok, but it will never decide a round for me -- it wasn't battle rap. That said, I'm having a tough time on which third was better. Paperwork aside, Lux did some rapping in that round and he got very personal.

5. Lux worked in 2 bar rebuttal about Clips' t-shirt and nikkas are falling all over themselves about "Lux freestyle ability" (and that phrase showed up in the big thread a few times). It was two fukking bars about a shirt. It wasn't a showstopper, it was just different.

I haven't picked a winner. Something about the battle seems off, probably that there was NO way for it to live up to the hype. I might weigh in with that later, but it doesn't seem to matter.

I also want to point something out..

If you read the SM5 thread and this one close enough, you'll notice that me, Spud, and FreshAIG had near identical opinions on Clips/Lux related points. :staredoc:

THANK YOU. Lux getting $40k, the least he should be able to do is freestyle two bars.

Some guy gets kicked out of the crowd, DNA raps about it 15 seconds later mid-round. And we all think DNA is the corniest dude on the planet. Lux weaves in a bar about Clips t-shirt and all of the sudden it's being celebrated as some monumental occasion

Gjonaj v Diz is probably close to 1/3 of the price though.

At least now Smack has more options because of what they are doing with the PPV.

There's no reason why we won't get Holla/Suge, and we could possibly get Mook/Surf of Mook/Hollow.
Throw in two more battles from that particular event, and charge $30-35 again. Or do 3 battles and knock the price down to $20 if it's feasible. I say that, because some people might assume he's just gonna throw the battles out there again right after the event, so they won't pay.

lol not to make you even madder, but Lux probably got more than that. "30k? That's just a nugget" (c) Charlie Clips. He probably got a cut of the PPV.

Fun fact. The incident at NOME3 that stopped the DNA/Chilla battle was that a dude passed out, and had to be dragged out of the venue. I was standing in the area, everyone just jumped back from dude cause he was so tore down. That whole "guy getting thrown out for taping the battles" thing is false, Smack just could hear, or didn't understand what was going on. We could blame Smack's drunkenness, but dude passed out pretty far from the stage so it's possible he just couldn't hear what people were saying.

Not that he's not nice as hell, but people make him out to be top tier caliber and that's just completely unproven. I think he'll hold up well, but I've seen some battlers suddenly fall off when the competition got tougher. B2B should be good for him though because the crowd is typically fair and actually catches bars for those events. Diz did really well vs Dumb (I think that drops in the next couple of days actually), I was surprised tbh. Between his work vs Math, Chilla and Dumb I actually think Diz is getting some of his spark back.

I think that's what got this off. He talked the trash and Diz tweeted that he'd do the Gjonaj battle at B2B if Gjonaj accepted within two days or some ish. That B2B card has a few clutch match-ups. Day vs QP, Ars vs Pass and Caustic vs Bigg K should all be dope and the other B2B's were cheaper PPV's than normal so I'll prolly cop.
