Not that he's not nice as hell, but people make him out to be top tier caliber and that's just completely unproven. I think he'll hold up well, but I've seen some battlers suddenly fall off when the competition got tougher. B2B should be good for him though because the crowd is typically fair and actually catches bars for those events. Diz did really well vs Dumb (I think that drops in the next couple of days actually), I was surprised tbh. Between his work vs Math, Chilla and Dumb I actually think Diz is getting some of his spark back.



I think that's what got this off. He talked the trash and Diz tweeted that he'd do the Gjonaj battle at B2B if Gjonaj accepted within two days or some ish. That B2B card has a few clutch match-ups. Day vs QP, Ars vs Pass and Caustic vs Bigg K should all be dope and the other B2B's were cheaper PPV's than normal so I'll prolly cop.

Not to be a prick but I don't see what's so great about Arsonal vs Pass

They both have whiny voices and tend to be heavy on filler. I think Arsonal and Pass are better in contrast type match ups where they're against somebody with a completely different style. As an example Arsonal vs Hitman Holla was a good match up to me for that reason. You had Hitman's performance and aggression vs Arsonal's slick sh1t and fluid lyrics and they meshed well.

If there's some really cool significance with Arsonal vs Pass that I'm not seeing let me know. But to me it just kind of randomly thrown together joint with a lot more downside than upside potential.

I really like Diz vs Gjonaj, Day vs QP and Caustic vs Bigg K though

Reposting this here since it seems like nigs fell back in to the old routine:

So I fell back on posting in the update thread and let this battle sink in. Also wanted to let the fair weather forum traffic die down so some half decent discussion can be had.

I had a few observations/opinions that maybe aren't going to be popular, but I think are worth saying. Oh, I should warn the trolls and idiots.. This post is going to say positive and negative things about BOTH rappers because that's what TBZ's quality posters do.

1. A lot of folks are saying Clips was rattled in the 3rd and broke down. I actually thought that aggression he put into that round gave it a little more power. The early freestyles were not great, but the meat of the round was good and delivered by a Clips that actually seemed to give a fukk (isn't that what we wanted?). The Lions Den/Ice thing was dope and the backward/forward thing was dope because of his flow.

2. Lux first round was a display of lyrical ability that will grow on you on cam. It may not change your vote, but it will make more sense why so many are saying his shyt went over heads. That said, that round was Lux showing off expert footwork, endurance, agility but never going for a knockout... and that's why there's a large number of folks giving Clips the first.

3. Clips started off his first round with 8 excuse bars.:clips:That said, his first was a focused Clips round, like it or not. For you real battlerap fans, however, this round is not going to have much staying power. You've probably already done a rewatch or two where you're noticing it.

4. I'm not cool with Lux being awarded that third round because of a paperwork antic. That isn't a display of battling ability to me. It's entertainment, it was personal, and that's ok, but it will never decide a round for me -- it wasn't battle rap. That said, I'm having a tough time on which third was better. Paperwork aside, Lux did some rapping in that round and he got very personal.

5. Lux worked in 2 bar rebuttal about Clips' t-shirt and nikkas are falling all over themselves about "Lux freestyle ability" (and that phrase showed up in the big thread a few times). It was two fukking bars about a shirt. It wasn't a showstopper, it was just different.


I haven't picked a winner. Something about the battle seems off, probably that there was NO way for it to live up to the hype. I might weigh in with that later, but it doesn't seem to matter.

on point, i agree with mostly all of this, nikkaz always say clips dont have energy but now he gets aggressive and its cause hes emotional ? nikkaz find any excuse to prop up lux, lux first i actually am edging on cam an edged clips in the building i think it can go either way, i hated lux 3rd it was trash to me, so 2-1 either way off the first but as of now on cam lux 2-1 but the battle was ehhh and lux /hollow did live up to the hype this shyt wasnt close, just two divas going back and forth

Some guy gets kicked out of the crowd, DNA raps about it 15 seconds later mid-round. And we all think DNA is the corniest dude on the planet. Lux weaves in a bar about Clips t-shirt and all of the sudden it's being celebrated as some monumental occasion

breh theres so much shyt these harlem nikkaz get away with that nobody else does, k shine and lux can play dress up and its fine but if DNA does its corny, daylyt is ruining battle rap but lux started this wrestling shyt, this nikka takes an hour to get to the stage every battle and gotta come in like a wrestler. two times live i waited mad long for this nikka and that coin toss shyt was garbage to complain about. foh nikkaz gotta stop worshiping this nikka , like why can you see through the other battlers bullshyt but not lux ?

Freestyling is the only thing we give DNA credit for. All the rest is corny.

And so the amount someone got paid decides if that person can freestyle or not?

Either you can or you cant breh. Most rappers that dont have that attribute fail when they attempt (ie Surf). I gave Lux credit for his FREESTYLE ABILITY cause he never displayed it, he stepped out of his comfort zone and executed that flawless in the middle of his round.

C'mon breh, DNA had the bomb strapped to his chest, everybody showed him love for that. He's always had gimmicks, people have been harsh on him because just comes off dorky, has nothing to do with where he's from. And let's be for real, he gotta a fukking timeshare tooth, he can only access it like 2 weeks a year. We can't compare DNA throwing his tooth into the crowd to the Professor Shine shyt.
Lux and his whole camp are a bit nutty, that is undeniable. But we can't compare Lux wearing a Hells Angels jacket to fit the theme of his raps, to Daylyt wearing a costume AND NOT rapping at all, or Daylyt taking his dyck/balls/ass out. Seriously Daylyt pulled his pants down in 4 or 5 separate battles.
I'd love to see you defend that. You go to more events than ANY of us here. You really want to cosign a nygga that might back his meat out in your grill?
