I think Math is a very good lyricist. He might not have Lux or Chilla bars but I don't recall him reaching ever or having extremely corny lines like that. Only corny thing I remember in a battle was the Biggie shyt vs. Verb

Just watched that Youtube video with Cal, Shine, Surf and Cortez and wondered - why doesn't Cortez get any URL battles anymore, at least on a big stage? I'm not really a big fan of his, but if Suge can get it, then Cortez could get some piece of the action too...
One thing that separates those other guys from him is that he doesn't create enough memorable moments on the stage. All the other people you named do memorable stuff. He just raps and has dope wordplay. The haymakers aren't there, the performance isn't anything special. He doesn't have any special characteristics that make him interesting to watch.
