I don't think Daylyt is gonna even try.

He's very self aware. If he tries to rap with O-Red he's gonna lose in a straight up battle. He's gonna take the battle in a completely different direction. If he "loses," it doesn't matter.

I've been saying for a while that Daylyt doesn't bring match as a battle rapper. In grind time, he was awful. He sounded like a guy that wanted to be rapper. The type on the corner wanting to sell his CD's talking about he rap & everyone knows he's garbage. That shyt Locksmith did to him was damn near the equivalent of Clips/Tay Roc. He's been battling for years. It took a year of antics for him to get his name hot. Now I'll give him credit. His pen game has came a looooong way. Seems like a guy that had to really work hard at it for years to get where he's at. He can rap well, but he's not as nice as he thinks he is & I believe he came to this realization some time ago.

This is my point of view on Daylyt. Sometimes he may have a nice round. If not a nice round, he's nice in spots. Or he may have a line here or there. I have never seen a Daylyt battle where all 3 rounds where dope.

His style is unconventional & terrible for battle rap. When he's straight to the point, he's very mediocre. The fact that his name even comes up as a potential opponent to Lux amazes me. Daylyt has NEVER none of the cold shyt Verb has come up. NEVER. We all know he's not close to Classic Verb. He's not even fukking with this flabby/shaky Verb. His first 2 rounds against Myers, Goodz, material against Brizz.

Man I'm glad people are finally waking up to Daylyt. He doesn't have any memorable moments straight up rapping.

I knew exactly what you where talking about when I saw your post. I had the same look on my face when I was listening to that shyt.

It's hard to get under my skin, but somehow AF manages to do it every time with his stupidity. The caller had a very valid point & Angryman just didn't get it.

My whole view on ghostwriting is I really don't think many emcees would have any qualms about spitting bars someone wrote for them. We are all grown men who live in reality. We aren't kids anymore looking up to our favorites emcees. Nyggas will always look for an edge. These nyggas bite the hell out of each other, take other nyggas ideas, concepts, etc. All of a sudden they are above spitting bars someone else wrote for them? It's part of the game. Just like steroids are part of the bodybuilding game. Just like PEDs are apart of sports.

The thought of Daylyt having a ghostwriter in some battles have never crossed my mind, but I just don't follow him like that. However, it seems like a new Daylyt battle is coming out every week nowadays, so it wouldn't be surprising if he was getting some help. I know he likes to create rounds that apply to anyone, but you burn out at some point. I just assumed he came with antics to hide his lack of preparation.

I like the reality westcoast rap shyt he did against Oops. Maybe he should he try it more often. Westcoast emcees always sound better on some reality shyt. They sound corny trying to outbar nyggas. The most effective form of battling is east coast style battle rapping. They sound way better trying to "outbar" a nygga. When I hear nyggas like nitty, kg, daylyt, etc these nyggas sound corny. The midwest also has nyggas that can do "barfest" without sounding corny.
