Just to be honest very few guys have that "it" feeling. You have to be at events to get it, but certain guys just have "it."Been looking at the way big name talent emerges (it doesn't) in battlerap, and I'm kind of at loss.
How will the new top dogs really be born? I'm talking like late 2013 to now. It seems like all the "next up" talent aren't really becoming the next big thing. Not saying there haven't been a few successful dudes, but how many dudes who were new to the scene 1-2 years ago are undeniable top talent (like selling mad tickets) now? Am I being impatient? Is it just rare to find a star? Or are the current toptier/vets rooted in place because they were battling before battling was what it is today?
The few ones that have it came through URL just don't battle there enough in general. Bigg K has it. Danny has it. Top has flashes of it (Sno battle) but needs a slogan or something to make that connection in the big room. Chilla shows flashes but loses battles he's supposed to win. We all know DOT has it but he needs to rap for 3 rounds.
Hell, DNA JUST got "it" like six months ago.
You need that right mix of stage presence, bars, believability, and connection with the crowd to make it big in battling now.
