Ok, so you can see why URL is expanding to the West rather than bytch about it. What I'm saying is that there was a demand since you want to talk business terms. They wouldn't have moved on it if they didn't see it as an opportunity that could benefit them. Maybe not amongst all the dudes who love to see the big battles in NY but at the very least, the West was hungry for it.

Do YOU really believe the URL is expanding to the west?

These "URL cards" that happen on the Westcoast, Pittsburgh, etc aren't cards created by the actual URL staff. They have minimal involvement. They have no problem distancing themselves from the events like they did with "traffic."

Rum Nitty, Danny Myers, & Daylyt all said it "wasn't the URL" & it "wasn't the same."

If KG said you know what, I don't want to do the URL West no more, do you think the URL would really care?

Let's be honest. The westcoast can't give you 8-12 guys to build a respectable roster. Even their street battles don't give you the kind of feel that battles on the midwest & eastcoast do. The URL gets footage that they may or may not release. If they are lucky, maybe 1 or 2 guys they can use. Even then, they may not be too eager to pay for these nyggas flights to do an event on the eastcoast.

The URL has no problem hustling nyggas that are eager to get on the platform.

It's 2016 and nikkas still don't understand this.

That Pittsburgh card is obvious that is thru a different promoter. First time they did it, Real Deal made it happen because he wasn't getting booked as much after he battled BG Magic. As for URL West, KG was the main component for trying to make URL West pop off. Some of their own talent and not another promoter with another company. Yes, they are but I guess that depends on what our definition of expansion is. If they're already trying to keep booking more than just a few events in that area within a certain period with some of the same folks involved such as KG (not gonna mention Aspect) then, yeah it's an expansion. Is it much different from KOTD taking on the West with Lush or Dont Flop doing more events in ATL or FL with Sonny Bamboo?

I will say the roster will take time. Me, I don't want them reminding me of everyone in NY that's top tier. URL West is still building up their shyt overall. I like Stuey Newton and I feel like Rum Nitty is doing numbers trying to shed light on the West as a start by battling Ave. nikkas shyt on Myers about the 12k with Rex but back to back, dat nikka got bars for days.

You sound dumb as hell :mjlol:

The reason why it's called URL west is the same idea and reason why there is/was a def jam south. A bad boy south etc

I know why it's called the URL West. Death row started it all when they came up with Death row east.

Calling it the URL West just isn't a good idea if they where actually serious about building up the west coast. URL West is associated with lower quality (which it is). Although based out of the Eastcoast, the URL is suppose to have the best rappers in the world. It should be just the URL. It would mean more.

None of it matters anyway. The name URL West is appropriate because it gives them a way to differentiate it from the URL. If it's lower quality, it's "hey we don't have anything to do with that." Some guys didn't get paid from traffic. It's "hey that wasn't us."

Exactly. This dude is pseudo shyttin on the West because it isnt the same old NY shyt. I feel like if SMACK URL puts it together outside of NY, it's still part of SMACK URL. Why? Because (1) they ok'd it and (2) they drop the battles on the channel. So I guess that means a classic like Aye Verb vs. Hitman Holla ain't shyt because it was in STL then. Or what about them Sneaker events they were at when they held those battles in ATL? Exactly.

It's the truth as well. All of the core rules of Hip Hop are preserved in battle rap. Bars matter the most, not writing your own shyt is a cardinal sin and battle rap is driven by competition.

I use to believe that until recently. Allowing Prez Mafia:scusthov: to be on the next Born legacy card is a sin in itself.

That isn't how the url views it.

URL has no problem dropping content they have no involvement with (We go hard, Poisonpentv, Gorilla Warfare, Scheme street).
