This week I noticed that whenever a post compliments kotd it's usually.an ardamus post. TBZ is pretty bias.
I will even admit that I haven't criticized everything KOTD hadn't done right. Like Arcane should never get another shot on that stage and Caustic, at the very least, should have been suspended. They should have handled that Pat Stay vs Charron battle way better and they never ever should have Daylyt a title shot after the stunts he has pulled (matter of fact, him wiping ball sweat on Loe Pesci you could argue was assault). And they haven't really taken care of the guys who have held down KOTD in the past.
KOTD puts on good battles, no one is saying they don't. The only problem is when they don't use their own talent and/or have fukkkery involved that for some reason gets overlooked by the masses.
Diz keeping that same energy for two days in a row.
Smack touched down got immediately plugged in and gave opportunities to the homies KOTD won't
Now, the talent is part is interesting. They used to with alot of the guys coming up. But it's either they didn't transcend overtime well or talent from other leagues, particularly URL, overshadowed them. However, they did help out GT when they fell off so that gave a platform to those who didn't get shine on that platform. And I give you that with Smack touching down and doing that. That was solid.
The other end of this is that Gully with the GZs is being smart and going to Detroit for talent. Tapping into other markets that have battle rappers that are talented and hungry. So point taken about the talent. I can give agree with it being shaky.
Saying TBZ is biased towards URL is pretty inaccurate tbh. We all give KOTD for their props for the quality of their PPVs and the fact that they release battles in a timely fashion. The issue is that their quality control is shaky and they indulge in just as much fukkery as URL but don't get anywhere near the same amount of criticism for it.
I've always said that I want URL and KOTD to join forces. URL handle the battles and promo, KOTD handle the infrastructure.
That last part, yes. That would be dope and I'd love to see them combine forces to see what they come up with.
Again, I can give you all that the talent can be shaky. You gotta pick and choose thru the talent and see who you wanna fukk with. And it depends on what you rock with. Street style battle rap I will like but for me, I came up hearing that but also that off the top/backpacker shyt too. So maybe KOTD caters to my taste in that more than SMACK URL does. I dunno. Good comments everyone. I can respect your views.
