Ave? Or maybe Brizz.

I think its not so much the opponent, but how JC does. If JC has a classic or a bodybag his next battle, the hype will return.

I don't see a lot of excitement around Ave right now. Brizz maybe. Brizz is kinda like JC, he was the man for a good 4-5 months, but now I'm questioning what his next move is.

Here's an outlandish thought. JC should offer Rum Nitty a rematch in a small room. That would be crazy, because the crowd kinda ruined their battle last year. If they pull that off it would be unprecedented. Rum might not even accept because Hitman Holla & K Shine are both talking about battling him.

Consistency of work yes, but Mook is a poineer/changed the game, the catchphrase end of the round, talking to the camera mid battle and attacking someone else, travelling to other battlers cities and beating them. Mook washed the Detroit battlers so bad in Detroit, he made them change from the freestyle to having bars on deck. Both Bizarre & Quest McCody have spoke on this.

Lux & Mook are 1a/1b of the battlers that the other battlers most want to battle.

I don't even like Mook, but his spot is solidified. It's just a shame he dont want to get that in that ring, but as long as people keep mentioning his name, he'll continue to play these will I, wont I battle again games.

How you think the Smack DVD battles came about, those type of battles with 16-20 bar rounds, had been happening for years in the various hoods, seeing who was the best from whose street/block/hood. The loser was who ever gave up/ran out of verses first.

KOTD is big because it's filled the void left by GT for the non street battle fans and used battlers that the US/International audiences already knew. Diz/DNA got the views because Drake was front and centre of the battle.

DNA isn't even the most influential new guy to come out of the GT. Con is more important to battle rap than DNA is.

Things really turned around for Rum Nitty at the end of the year.

His buzz took a couple hits but he bounced back like a pro.

I think he has become what B Magic was to the NYC URL audience.

What he can and can't do doesn't matter anymore, because the people love him.

He has been a part of 5 great Smack URL battles already

@Kunty McPhuck i agree with the void it filled. at the time, GT had a lot of shyt to weave thru and i was hoping at least some of the guys from GT Upstate, GT ATL, and of course the Fresh Coast would go somewhere else and KOTD stepped in. plus, i was wondering if i could ever see Marv again on SMACK and they took forever...same with Head ICE...same with Swave Sevah...and they did Ness wrong so i was like fukk it...the people i wanna see aren't on that league so i have to go over here now. at least KOTD got their shyt together by then and it didn't look as bad as they did when GT was really poppin'.
