Was Aye Verb EVER more popular than DNA at any point in his career?

DNA was already a fan favorite on Grind Time, he just never fully had the respect of the Smack style fan.

Aye Verb's posturing began to fall apart once people starting really keeping track of his numbers. He's not THAT popular. He was on a pedestal because of his talent, not because people were so intrigued by "Aye Verb".

At this point, Lux vs Clips has caught up to Hitman vs Verb in views. That's crazy.

Hitman vs Surf almost at 5 million

Verb isn't popping. He calls out sick on cards where he's the headliner and the battle world just keeps it moving. No one cares enough to even make an issue out of it.

Speaking of views, it was interesting to see that Surf vs. Hitman has surpassed Lux/Calicoe as the most viewed battle in URL history.

Y'all been talking about the IF verb for like 6 years now. Dude has never done anything that mattered except for the Hitman battle. Generic battle bars against hollow and some corner shyt in NYC.

DNA has kills absolutely, but as far as going back to watch those battles after the fact....chill.

Verb up until he ran into Clips was THAT nikka. DNA was never held in that regard. And this is coming from somebody who believes DNA is a better battle rapper than Verb in 2018.

I think networks/Hollywood sleep on how well Black content can do if given a real shot.

On the television side in recent years, we’ve start seeing the emergence of shows with either a black casts (power, empire, black lightning, Luke cage) or a black leads (scandal, how to commit a murder). In reality, this shyt has ALWAYS worked. Remember that Martin/living single/ny undercover all on Thursday? All of those shows we had in the 90s? Why wouldn’t it work now.

The success of Black Panther doesn’t surprise me all. Blade it kicked it off. A black superhero lead can work, and it already has.

From my understanding, that JD shows has their best ratings when the talent battle raps. Freestyle Friday was the highlight of 106 and Park. The battle rappers are damn near the most popular guys on Wild n out.

Maybe I’m tripping, but if it were presented in a real authentic way, I think it could work. Remember how def comedy jam came on HBO once a week? I could see battle rap doing well.

Im personally not arguing that dna was on verbs level

I've gone back and watched a few of the bodies he's caught tho, the fact that it's him gives it another level of entertainment

Kinda like when Dot washes someone who came to rap seriously, they get so salty it's classic material imo
