And influence outside of here is way too vague to take seriously, it's easy to influence casuals and young nikkas, if it wasnt champion it woulda been some other blog shyt they would turn to in order to know how to think about something, so why even care about those types of people

Possibly. I don't think it plays that big a factor in how he's perceived but maybe.

I think he's more humble than Serius but he's still pretty arrogant. Especially pre-battle, and a lot of people don't think he's that good, which adds on to the hate. It's kinda like the pitcher who throws 88 MPH but always performs above his peripherals (K:BB ratio, HRs allowed, etc.). You don't get how they do it, so you dismiss it as luck or the other person failed rather than the person you don't believe is that good, succeeded. It's a bias we all have when it comes to certain people or things.

When someone we don't think is good does something good we tend to say "He'll eventually fail, give it time. He only won because such and such did this", and when they finally fail, our confirmation bias kicks in and we say "Told y'all nikkas he was ass". That's just life. We all do it.

Yep, exactly. People are never going to like people who have blown up egos that are undeserved..

And to add to it, TODD is very arrogant without actually being entertaining. Tsu Surf may be the most arrogant person on the planet, but at least he's extremely entertaining as well. Same with a guy like Verb. JJDD doesn't bring that to the table either.

I may get flamed for this but besides his Rex battle, none of O-Red’s “big name” battles have been memorable. O-Red is who he is because he historically smokes lower/mid-tier competition and has forgettable big battles.
