Fair point by JJDD about not giving personal opinions before fans vote because I do feel like it has an influence

I'm really tired of battlers complaining though.

He pretty much explained controlled media in a "street" sport where there isn't a scoreboard and etc. to determine who wins. So its up to interpretation. But the influence of all this shyt...that's the problem.

I think it goes back to JJDD having his own league and URL (along with affiliated media like Champion) likes to low key give him shyt for it. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems pretty fukked up to me.

I just think JJDD think he's better than what he is and people don't like arrogant people that they don't think are that good. Same thing with Serius Jones. The issue is, they don't ever get killed (Which to them means they haven't lost, which is false) so they continue to talk a lot of shyt and I think people just want him to get killed badly and it hasn't happened. I don't think it's a league thing because people haven't like JJDD since he got the Hitman battle, undeserved, to a lot of fans.

The league shyt added to it. And JJDD was smart in how he did it and it had to have at least pissed off Norbes the wrong way. That whole back and forth about Bullpen being created fueled something else between JJDD and URL.

Now with Serius, I get it. A tad too arrogant and doesn't realize when he needs to take a step back and watch how he comes across. With JJDD, I feel like he has battled so many different styles, barely lost, and never choked; yet, he got the stigma of copying people's styles/lines and also being someone that no one cares to see battle. Yet people don't like being fair with him when he wins. He's confident but he doesn't come across like Bigg K or Serius Jones. I think JJDD is low key a little more humble than that.

Possibly. I don't think it plays that big a factor in how he's perceived but maybe.

I think he's more humble than Serius but he's still pretty arrogant. Especially pre-battle, and a lot of people don't think he's that good, which adds on to the hate. It's kinda like the pitcher who throws 88 MPH but always performs above his peripherals (K:BB ratio, HRs allowed, etc.). You don't get how they do it, so you dismiss it as luck or the other person failed rather than the person you don't believe is that good, succeeded. It's a bias we all have when it comes to certain people or things.

When someone we don't think is good does something good we tend to say "He'll eventually fail, give it time. He only won because such and such did this", and when they finally fail, our confirmation bias kicks in and we say "Told y'all nikkas he was ass". That's just life. We all do it.

I gotta disagree with this one. Maybe it changes on a per battle basis.

"First to integrate in the class, like Rudy Bridges" :whew:

"With the silver smith yellin, "THE BRITISH ARE COMING" :ahh:

I think his material is good enough to warrant a @ReasonableMatic bar breakdown with gifs and such lol. As far as TBZ goes, that's like a gold star for wordplay.
Appreciate the respect breh :salute:

You sure about that? Wasn't JJDD and Norbes just going back and forth not too long ago about URL SMACK trying to do a southern division and it falling thru when JJDD did his own thing? That did happen. Let's not act like that partially didn't have shyt to do with it either. Hell, Ars and SMACK was at each other over him starting U DUBB at one point.

This is always going to be an issue with small crowds that are invite only. Either it’s going to feel too “industry” because it’s going to be filled with tastemakers/media and the crews of the participants, or it’s going to be filled with overzealous fans that are there because the won a raffle to get in. Both sets of fans will have their bias and it’s all dependent on what you would rather have.

Smack Vol 2 had too many people in there, in my opinion. There was a lot more gas and bias (Jersey battlers) in comparison the previous event.

I know Math aint been as great lately but like Verb before recently, I still think motivation is the biggest factor with them and theyd show up in a big battle, unlike clips lets say who was weak vs hollow and ehh vs lux , he had moments but he was only good for the first half of the battle.

but math/hollow, id much rather see this than jjdd vs hollow, even though i think that battle now has a better chance at happening, im surprised how much i felt it was being promoted on vol 2, hollow was saying he wants to give an up and comer a shot, does that mean it has to be a newer battler like twork lets say or would e consider ored because it would still be oreds first big shot at least on url, i felt vs hitman on high stakes was his first real big shot and hitman won clear the 1st and 3rd, thats actually one of hitmans better performances imo but the battle is forgotten about, ored was sick but still his material wouldnt have won to me anyway, and its not like hitman was saying anything too crazy, still i wouldnt mind seeing it just cause fresh kind of made me think like yeah who is left for hollow or ored to even battle. but id still like ored to get a run first.

but really outside of mook, who i dont think is coming back, id prob rather see hollow vs math than him vs any other battler. just with the recent disagreement and the history, i think it would be dope. but hollow, like pretty much almost everyone else is gonna run from math, nobody wants to battle math if he actually has a real personal on them, i get it but its kind of p*ssy. other than rex and diz.

Red battled Roc and Verb on URL.
And he battled Clips Cal Xfactor Rex Arsenal etc before Hitman. If those arent big shots i dont know what is breh. Red is a seasoned vet by now.
