Chess got exposed for that applying that flawed logic. He kept fukkin up while bein put on the biggest cards even tho he didn’t deserve it. His material also clearly wasn’t on the same level consistently like Top and Brizz who weren’t given that push he got

The shyt Nitty is spittin is top tier shyt, no debate

I litteraly seen nikkas question if O Red is top tier by using the card angle.

Top tier isn't a term used to define lyrical ability. It's based on status, buzz & mass appeal. I think fans should stay away from that term when arguing lyrical SKILL, because that's not why people started using the term in the first place. I'm sure I've done it before, but to keep doing it just confuses things unnecessarily.

Nitty has headlined two (arguably three with NOME) major URL cards in the past 8 months. SV1 and Initiation. He’s battled the Gun Titles and personally think he 2-1’d both of them. He was supposed to battle Hitman at SV2. He had his first URL choke and the people forgave him. He’s a guarantee to be on Summer Madness AGAIN. Nitty is clearly a top tier battler :dafduck:

What I’m sayin is, Nitty’s run gained him Buzz and Mass Appeal while actually performing toptier. He’s been headlining cards on top of that. His Toptier status is undeniable to me

URL is aware Buzz and Mass Appeal are a part of Toptier status and tried to FORCE Chess to Toptier status by putting him on every big card against opponents he didn’t deserve and it backfired accordingly.

He had both Buzz and Mass Appeal yet he DIDN’T reach Toptier status because his performance and material didn’t align with those two parts to achieve that status.

I’m not disagreeing with you on Buzz and Mass Appeal being a part of being Toptier status.

But you can’t ignore performance and material being part of the equation when determine Toptier status.

Chess is undeniable proof of that, that’s all I’m sayin

Yep. I think he learned from trying to use that personal against Tay Roc in his 3rd and got a little better. Aside from the choke with JJDD and a slip or two against Surf, he's been on his shyt.
