but i wont stand for someone saying charlie didn't get his joints cracked open and ground into dust at SM5 lol. his best material is the buildup to "how their leader gonna xscape" and that shyt sounds like a grindtime freestyle

the paperwork shyt is lame, that and the coin toss fukkery mixed with URL dropping the uncut footage because the bootleg flooded youtube in hours distracts from the evidence that lux came to rap on the biggest stage in the game and charlie was just out here tossing rippity rap throwaways about tetris at him

The difference in Mook & Clips vs Lux is this....Mook stole the show from the jump.

Clips 2nd Rd fell.flat as fukk halfway thru , he noticed that and stopped rapping at ...he still had time to keep going. Clips didnt say nothin to counter Lux 3rd at all....theres not a real line, segment, moment, none of that and thats w/o the paperwork.

There is no double standards, they both simple & to the point battle rappers. Mook did what needed to be done to get a crystal clear win & made Lux look crazy in the 3rd, Clips did barely enough to make the 1st debatable.

So...Mook gets the benefit of the doubt because he got gas from a crowd of casuals/cacs, but Charlie, who had big moments, was legit entertaining, and had some 3-0 chants (undeserved, but still) gets shyt on for one dry spot in a real, harsh battle rap crowd? In a way, you're proving my point. The bias is real.

Again, what did Mook do that was so much better than Lux that he gets the benefit of the doubt? The jacket shyt is basically that battle's "paperwork". Mook had a rebuttal of sorts, but again, mad cringeworthy lines, dry spots, and generally weak bars, where Lux is doing his usual poetry. How does Mook get a "body", but Clips "died". Bar wise, if you want to take the ridiculously different crowds out of the equation.

edit: i guess you're talking about the double standard. i dont disagree with you, but in my mind mook/lux 2 exists on the same level as surf/rex and surf/suge, they mean nothing, they're not worth watching and have no consequence. i do not carry the narrative in my head that mook killed lux, my first thought is that he copied hollow and that lux had a dope gucci shirt on, that's all i take away from that battle

i just refuse to let the idea that lux didn't bring AAA+ material to charlie, regardless of how bad charlie did or didn't do

"Stole the show"? Clips had the crowd on his side most of the battle, had the biggest room shakers (Lux was going over heads, but we're using your criteria) and had 3-0 chants.

Okay, cool, a real arguement based on actual performance. I counter with, how is "less ass" a "body" for Mook, but Clips "died" when he had similar or better crowd reaction/control, and, IMO, better bars than Mook. Lux was better against Clips, but it wasn't night and day. I think we all know Lux/Mook 2 would have looked and sounded worlds different on a URL stage (same bars). Personally, I think Mook was trash there, and the Clips that battled Lux would have beaten him.

Mook had none of these issues vs Lux....so how is it a double standard when Mook had uh 4k ultra hd crystal clear better performance vs Lux out of the two by a landslide??

we who are purist will say lux beat clips. imo he did beat clips and imo lux 3rd vs clips was harsher than his 3rd vs calicoe. i mean he called clips momma out by name and basically said she a golddigging thot that continued to procreate with men who became snitches. a lost nikka round was basically a call to all black men to stop glorifying the gangsta lifestyle over real activism, which is good in general, lux round vs clips was personal as hell. that shyt was vicious. geesh.

if anyone else besides lux opponent was getting 3-0 chants you all wouldnt over look that so easily. so lets keep it a buck, in the room, clips might have won that. the crowd clearly thought so. you cant pick and choose when you want performance and crowd reaction to matter. my track record has always been i dont care about the crowd. some of you when you discussing guys like roc and surf and suge its all on the crowd, but then we get to lux and that goes away. got to keep the same energy across the board.
