I agree. But at the same time, that might have been the most bi-polar and anxious crowd i've ever seen (justifiably, wasn't that the last battle?). It's understandable if someone wants to consider that unreliable to judge from

the 3-0 chants were not even that many people. the crowd was quiet as shyt and people still high off the charlie clips blunt he was passing around all 2014 and 15 started chanting, i would be surprised if it were more than 10 people, more surprised if those people would even admit to chanting it today

i do agree that clips at SM5 would have beaten Total Slaughter Mook, but i also think URL would have vaulted it

we who are purist will say lux beat clips. imo he did beat clips and imo lux 3rd vs clips was harsher than his 3rd vs calicoe. i mean he called clips momma out by name and basically said she a golddigging thot that continued to procreate with men who became snitches. a lost nikka round was basically a call to all black men to stop glorifying the gangsta lifestyle over real activism, which is good in general, lux round vs clips was personal as hell. that shyt was vicious. geesh.

but

if anyone else besides lux opponent was getting 3-0 chants you all wouldnt over look that so easily. so lets keep it a buck, in the room, clips might have won that. the crowd clearly thought so. you cant pick and choose when you want performance and crowd reaction to matter. my track record has always been i dont care about the crowd. some of you when you discussing guys like roc and surf and suge its all on the crowd, but then we get to lux and that goes away. got to keep the same energy across the board.

i remember on ppv at the time feeling Lux got it and the more I watch it again, might have been 3-0, but yea Clips energy might have had it in the building, Roc and Surf would be undefeated if you went by crowd reaction pretty much lol, so yea they have had battles they won in the building but the opponents material aged better too

Regardless of it being Danny or not, its bullshyt that its almost like the league is babying Twork. HE DUCKED DANNY AND ITS FACT. You'll play like "well, Danny and that 12K and he's not marketable" and all that other shyt. Nah, that was a main event battle that didn't go down and nikkas wanted their money from the PPV and it didn't happen. All this happened an yet Twork gets DNA as almost like an award for duckin' but Danny gets offered Trez? fukk is that? Smdh....

nikkas need to stop fronting on Charlie, or need to stop fronting on Mook. It's bullshyt how Clips "died"against Lux, despite getting most of the crowd reaction with a worthy performance, but Mook "killed Lux" with Hippopotamus bars and goofy shyt, just because he had the ignorant, cac crowd. Lux outrapped them both, but Clips had genuine good content, some decent freestyles and legit moments, with a REAL battle rap crowd. For the record, I don't take that "paperwork" seriously, I haven't seen it, and nobody has confirmed it, so it's just a prop. You can't have it both ways. I know the Clips hate is real (and somewhat deserved), but besides Surf's performances, this is the biggest double standard in battle rap, bar none.

2 completely different battles in two completely different settings, and they should be judged as such.

Lux beat Clips. Lux lost to Mook. However, Clips did better than Mook. Lux from the Clips battle did better than the Lux from the Mook battle. Clips had mediocre material. After the Rex battle, he just regressed. Let Hollow & Lux have their way with him.

You guys have to remember that the room had Clips beating Hollow. You had Mook saying hollow lost 3-0. Everyone watching the PPV clearly saw Hollow win the battle.

that's basically what happened in the battle. Lux was talking about a bunch of nothin, and that made Mook's angle about Lux being convoluted at times hit even more.

And it's not like he had any high quality shyt outside of his first either. Mook had the same quality, at least, that Clips did, and got through all of his rounds flawlessly.

Mook was just terrible to me man. He was really bad. I can’t rewatch anything he did against Solomon/Lux. It isn’t his fault they came with worst material then he did. It’s isnt like he overwhelmed these guys. They just sucked.

I’d rather watch that version of Clips over that version of Mook.
