Nah. Ice Pack was always more potential of what he could do, than actually being the one, if anything he was Qleen Paper before Qleen Paper. Besides the Surf battle, he never really put together 3 solid rounds after he came from Street Status and Fight Klub. He would have one really good round and then be inconsistent in the other 2.

It's a shame that Con battle is never getting released, as reports were saying it was the Old Ill in that battle. And of course the classic 1 rounder vs Rex, which is his most legendary performance, but he still lost.

I understand why you (and others) have said this is the past, before BDot had a catalogue of battles. I won't at all pretend not to see the similarities in their cadence, but it ends there. Content-wise, they are very different. One is much more direct and has a regular rhyme pattern, the other forgos punching for depth and layered character breakdowns. I can listen to a BDot battle once or twice and come away understanding most of it. Lux rounds are the slowest burn in battlerap.

For the record, this isn't me caping for BDot. I just feel like he's distinguished himself from Lux plenty enough for the clone narrative to fade.
B. Dot has certainly distinguished that his style is different than Lux’s. The problem for him though is he came in the game as a Lux clone and people always remember you based on the first impression. He’ll likely never live that shyt down.

I agree. I just have come to expect this particular forum to have a less surface-level view of battle rap.

JC vs BDot low key has legendary potential though. But I'm hesitant to get too excited since big matchups are more often one sided and/or disappointing

Listen man. You type this shyt everytime this topic comes up. BDot bit Lux's entire style. That's just what it is man. Is there enough to differentiate the two guys? Of course, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a clone, biter, and I hear the Lux in him everytime he battles. I don't care if he comes with a different approach and all that other bullshyt, he's a clone. He still needs to do more modifications to his style.

When I was watching Bdot vs EK, my sister came in the living room. You want to know what she said? Why is he trying to sound like Lux?

It's obvious man. We are so acclimated to hearing the guy now, that people just accept it.

I understand the POV you are trying to come with. One of my guilty pleasures was Tha Realest. The more you listened to the guy, you could clearly hear the differences between him & Pac. However, it still never changed the fact that he was a clone and bit the shyt out of him.

Daylyt is another guy that was influenced by the Lux. He changed his whole style after that Lux/Calicoe. The difference between him and Bdot though is although you can hear the influence, Daylyt completely developed his own style. There is a significant difference between Lux and Daylyt.
