But Roc feeds of the crowd, have we ever seen him lose the crowd, then get them back? Surf damn near quit vs Clips (and choked more than they showed on footage), and he didn't face nearly as much criticism from the fans. That's because Surf has a legion of dedicated fans, just like Clips, Hitman, Hollow, Lux etc. Surf is a headliner already. And he just got a clear dub over another headliner (Hitman Holla). To me, Roc is hot like B. Magic was hot 2 years ago. But B-Magic didn't take that next step to becoming a headliner. When I'm talking about Roc becoming the face of Smack/URL, I'm talking about Roc moving into that headliner category.

Lmao Charlie Clips killed Roc in that rematch. I thought Roc won at first but u can't rewatch multiple times and say Roc won. That could've been Clips best performance.. And that's saying a lot.
I don't like the "type the bars" shyt no way. Especially when nikkas don't even care and just wanna complain more. Finally watched this Prep vs The Saga battle. The whole thing yells "The two PGs that URL isn't too sure about being stars"
Biggest battle of your careers coming up in 28 days and you throwing bars at each other? That's not promo, that's wasting ammunition. Way too many other battlers to make these dudes battle twice in 1 month unless you were on the fence about them and trying to build them up.
Those rounds were way to long for two nikkas that aren't really stars. Battle is like 46 minutes long. I thought we were done with those days?
Silly me thinking that URL figured out that the shorter a battle is the more you can watch it which helps with view count. The saga and Prep have done absolutely nothing to get 45 minutes of my life from me. Should of been a one round promo type of thing to try and sell me on them being legit. All i got from that battle is.
Preps problem is that he's Prep. The lyrics and image don't match. You can't be dress like Carlton Banks and trying to talk that hardbody shyt. Doesn't help his believability factor. You gonna get picked apart, lucky for him TODD is too stupid to do it. Prep need to ask Nunu for Goodz address and go get trained in the art of slick lines and slick delivery to match the look like Daniel and Mr.Miyagi.
Saga has the task of being good enough to beat dudes coming at his head for three rounds without using any gun bars. Only time we ever seen that was on the URL stage was Loaded Lux and Saga is no Loaded Lux so i don't know how that works out for him. He has it the hardest out of all the PGs. He better start opening his battles with something like "God giving me a pass for the day y'all or God told me to smite you" and let the violence start flowing.
Saga won 3-0 but its nothing to take pride in. Prep should have switched his first round and his third round. He still would have gotten 3-0'd but it would have been a lot closer looking.

Dont always agree with you but this is a solid analysis.
On a side note: though i dont think Magic could make that transition to a 'headliner. He's very dope but lacks the it factor the 'headliners' have.

you complaining about URL finally giving us a good battle? They're finally promoting the PG's. That's a good thing and it should have happened sooner.

I just like pointing out nikkaz inconsistencies and hypocrisies regarding Roc and Brizz. A nikka in this thread actually said "since Brizz didn't win UFF, that means he could never beat Tay Roc"
Then when cats actually post some dope Brizz bars as requested, other nikkaz say "that shyt looks plain on paper"
I agree with a lot of this dudes post. But this part got me thinking uhhh. Because this whole rap battle thing is based in creativity. And this dude's saying alright everybody's doing X.. and this one guy's doing Y. Well shyt, we need him to be doing X. C'mon, that's not the case. Saga could EASILY go his whole career without doing the same stuff as everybody else. Lux didn't beat Calicoe because he's some god MC, he beat him because he wrote the best shyt that could be written FOR Calicoe at that moment. The shyt was super personal but still allowed him to flex lyrically with his set ups. Nowadays, people don't write anything personal, and THAT'S why the shyt gets repetitive and wack. They take basic gun bars and apply em to any battle. And yall pop for it! The problem is how easy it is to get the crowd to react with those basic ass gun bars.
