Yes unfortunately that was Magic in a rare form although that battle being in a small setting have contributed to the dope athosmophere it has. Magic on a big stage has been meh tbh (vs clips, concieted)

Well even if we were to just talk about how it changed the perception of Battlezone members, I'd say many of us are twice as excited about the Suge v. Saga than we were before seeing this battle. So you gotta think that the average strictly URL fan who might tend to overhype URL battles is calling Saga v Prep a classic, and purchased a ticket for Rookies v Vets immediately after watching the battle.
On the flip I think it showed Prep isn't quite ready for the big stage. As of the end of last week, the Prep v John John wasn't completely locked in yet (despite it being sold as part of the card). Prep isn't ready imo, and John John is battling on the West Coast later that day. The best move would be for URL to scrap that battle entirely. No one will complain if it doesn't happen. It might save Prep's career.

I'm more excited for chess and DNA and all those dudes did was talk shyt around each other for two minutes and I don't really care for Chess or Dnanny. Saga looked good in the battle but i'm not still not sold he can bring it to suge on the big stage, dude looks like his eyes will get watery off the pocket check. Suge just spit a punchline so hard the dude he was battling literally tried to bob and weave it. I wasn't saying these two didn't need a stock boost to sell their battles at RvV. I'm saying they didn't need a 3 unlimited round battle against each other to do it. Chess got a bigger boost than both of them and didn't have to waste any bars he just talked that shyt to DNA in his face.

so more promotion is a bad thing? They're not wasting material since they were directing most of their content directly towards each other. The vast majority of those bars can't be used against TODD or Suge and they've had well over a month to prepare.

This was good for both of them since they're coming off of losses and Saga didn't make it to TV. Now they're going into RvV with some momentum. The same people who will be in the crowd watched their battle and are probably fukking with them a lot more now. If their last memory of Prep was of him choking the crowd might be ready to turn on him quicker. Now they're gonna be waiting for rebuttals. They'll want to hear Saga bring those same bars. This was a smart move on Smack's part.

Only thing I was upset about was the length of the battle. They didn't do anything that couldn't have been done in half of the time. Battle could have been a 1 rounder and accomplished the exact same thing.

As far time goes, go ahead and pretend we didn't have a ton of bad battles because dudes were battling too much and on short time. We just watched Verb write 8 rounds for 4 three round battles but yeah over battling doesn't hurt the quality of bars.

There was nothing wrong with them going three rounds. Going into it I thought it was going to be a 1 rounder. I'm happy it wasn't. That wouldn't have helped reestablish them. Isn't the consensus around here that 1 rounders suck?

I think they have ample time to prepare for RvV.

What's crazy is its one of surfs best and complete performances and he lost CLEARLY. Surf was punchin hard but it didn't matter.

When it first dropped, I watched it quite a few times, and had T 3-0.

You know what I know imma be in the minority but it was literally 2 yrs later and idk what changed in my critiquing and analyzing, but I got Surf beatin the bacon fat outta T those first 2 rounds. Over the course of time his lines just hit harder to me, he ain't waste no time...out the gate on fire.
