The problem with the new dudes is they are to timide and humble. As much as I hate TODD he took the right approach. fukk all them toptiers and troll your way into battles. These new nikkas just sit on the bench till Smack throwes them a bone. Goddamn Ty Law been sitting on the shelve for 2 years. Call out nikkas and make them seem like a bytch when they ignore you.

The loyalty he showed it's like they HAD to give him a battle. I doubt they planned on pushing him. They only do that to guys they feel have performance potential. Hope he doesn't wait around hoping for another battle. It's all about self awareness. Someone like Prez should have stayed. Someone like Ty should be open to battling on other platforms.

Lies. He had the rebuttal in the 1st then the rest of his round was wack. nikka tried to expose Clips' scheme style that round only to do the EXACT same shyt in the EXACT same round :camby:

Clips whole first was about Jones being a barber and some wack schemes.

I really hate when people give jones that battle. Lol his first was not good

Neither was Clips first. Edge it to jones first and third.
Ya nikkas are pretending like Clips did something special that battle and its not debatable. Dont see it at all.

This 2nd from Hollow vs Clips... If I'm Clips and this nikka took my slogan and copyrighted it for real, I'm decking him as soon as he shows me paper work.

It was a dope angle by Hollow, but like somebody else on here said, Clips doesn't even say "Sike I lied" much. It's just an old go-to move when he stumbles, he's barely used it in the last year or so. Not to mention he borrowed it from Conceited to begin with.

And those "Sike I lied" shirts Hollow was selling were ugly as sh1t. I would gladly cop some battle rapper inspired T's but those shirts he printed were not some sh1t you would rock in public. The design was :scusthov:. They had to give them sh1ts out for free after a certain point

Point being, great battle rap angle by hollow, but definitely not worth decking somebody over IRL

So what went wrong with Serius Jones?

Let's talk about it.

You have Mook/Lux/Hollow who are in a category of their own. Clips was approaching their status, but he just has way too many losses for many here to put him there. It's time to examine why Serius Jones isn't up there. I'm gonna say his second round against Clips forever ruined his stock. It's one of the worst rounds I've ever heard. It's like no one had an interest in seeing him come back after the Clips battle even though the consensus is it was very a debatable battle. Or perhaps it's because he didn't clearly win his battle at SM2 like Mook & Lux? Mook clearly won, BUT then again no one was trying to see him again after Solomon. Mook's stock rose when those culture vultures came & gave us a rematch no one wanted to see.

Let's get back to Serius though. What happened?

1. He started that "talk rap" battling style that a lot of us dislike.
2. Lowkey he's one of the forefathers of the outdated Grind Time style. I think all the majority of the early Grind Time battlers studied The Saurus, Iron Solomon & Serius Jones. They would have loved him if he came back around the same time Iron went over there. Remember when Iron battled Ness, they made him look like a king. I think Serius would have gotten the same treatment. But even though he's been heating up lately, he still sounds a little dated on the Smack stage.
3. It seems like no one actually rides for the guy. No one. I always felt like it's fukked up what Math did for a lot of reasons, but the gif of the punch is hilarious imo. It's damn near some Looney Tunes shyt. I don't feel a lot of sympathy for Jones at that moment when Math's fist hits his face. It's just "LOL, DAMN" everytime. And I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. Jones just permeates this douchebag quality, and he's just not entertaining enough to carry himself that way.

Even with Clips not saying it much, I think the "sike I lied" angle was insanely dope. He took the nikka's sort-of slogan off the shelf. He had fans in that bytch thinking they were supporting Clips. If anyone doesn't see that as Hollow going for a little piece of Clip's soul... that's blind, deaf, and dumb level shyt.

Every-single-time that slogan is spoken henceforth, nikkas are going to think about Hollow owning it. Clips might not be using it once, but best believe he'll never say it again.

It's obvious that I think Hollow destroyed Clips in this overall disappointing battle, but I need to do a rewatch tonight.

I hear ya. It was a superb conceptual angle by Hollow. Even the hidden message of the shirt saying "Sike I Lied" and the shirt itself being a lie was some dope mind fukk sh1t. Hollow even posted a Clips fan on IG asking for his money back :mjlol:

Clips had a decent rebuttal for it though. On some I don't give a fukk shyt. And it was a sh1tty catchphrase to begin with, that he took from Conceited anyway

Nah she sounded like Cee The Boss from WHG. Just listen to the way Cee raps. She completely jacked the style.

The problem is Cee Da Boss looks like she smokes good, fukks good, and isn't uncomfortable in a room full of wolves. Her style will never get her to the top of the heap, but at least it fits her. Jaz is goofy & geeky.

Hopefully Jaz snaps out of that diva mode and redeems herself soon and not in a year time.
