:wtf:
Lavoz is a clown, always has been.
Sucks because this type of foolishness might have a trickle down effect on other Latino battlers. Cortez has a hard enough time as it is...

Get outta here with that "its hard for Latinos" talk.... Cortez has literally battled EVERYONE but yet "has it hard"

Not going anywhere buddy, and you know that. I call it as I see it. I'm from NYC and grew up closely with Latinos, Puerto Ricans specifically. It wasn't until I started to see more of this country that I found out Puerto Ricans/Latinos & Blacks don't have any type of bond in most other parts of the country. So I understand why guys like Cortez & Norbes are seen as somewhat inauthentic outside of NY. A guy like Cortez doesn't exist to a Black person in Virginia or North Carolina. Bigg K is actually more relatable to them, which is weird to me, but I understand it now. I've seen Cortez on his grind for a good 8-9 years (before battle rap) and personally i do think he gets the short end of the stick, sometimes due to his nationality.

Lavoz is a clown either way you call it.

Uno Lavoz really belongs on more of a KOTD/DF/Ibattles type of stages.

You really see the power of what being on URL does to one's resume. He had a short 2 battle stint, which allowed him to get to booked by more street style leagues & get street style opponents.

That picture wouldn't even be posted on here if it wasn't for his url appearances, because no one even knew who he was like that, unless you followed the type of platforms he was on.

The way all these latino rappers target Cortez is really corny too.

Yeah it's tough for Puerto Rican/Latino rappers. Not only are they not relatable to blacks outside of NY, they are not relatable to PR/Latinos as well in other parts of the country. I haven't met any latinos that act like these guys.

They are definitely viewed as corny though. They come off as if they are acting black when in reality, they are just being themselves based on their upbringing. I'm aware of this, but even I look at someone like a J Murda & can't take him seriously.

To make if as a pr/latino rapper you have to be undeniable like a Big Pun, which isn't really fair to those guys.

Cortez is Puerto Rican.
There are very few Puerto Ricans in North Carolina compared to NYC.
NYC is around 9% Puerto Rican.
North Carolina is was less than 0.5% Puerto Rican as of 10 years ago. Even if the PR population has grown it's still less than 1%.
2/3rds of the Latinos in North Carolina are Mexican. 2/3rds are also illegal immigrants. You want to tell me that American Blacks clique up with illegal immigrants? Gtfoh

So yeah, stats beat smileys every time.

Why do you think Cortez gets so many Mexican jokes? Probably because in many parts of the US (like the part where YOU are) Blacks see way more Mexicans than they do Puerto Ricans.

lol what does that have to do with Puerto Ricans in NYC? You have a lot of illegals over there in North Carolina (Mexicans, South Americans, etc.), that's a whole other can of worms.

you said people like cortez don't exist to black people in Va or NC, he took that statement literally

so in that sense, if he's seen or chilled with people like that in NC then that would make you wrong in his eyes

I knew(hoped) you didnt mean it in a literal sense that's why I didnt respond cuz i live in the south and a grip of PR cats live on my block, but that comment did stick out to me as well :manny: I know what you meant tho
