I don't believe Con selects his battles based on money though. I believe he makes sure he's taken care of, but it's more about the look. He's aware that battling opens up opportunities, so he'll take a battle (nowadays on KOTD) just to keep his name out there.

Call Hitman stupid but he's been keeping it a hundid with the moves he's making in the interviews. And tbh, if the dude Harry fronted him the money for the battle when he was trying to start his own league then, another agreement should've been made. See, that's the smoking gun right there. You can't just say its this league's money or that league's money and be like Hitman is wrong. It sounds like some paperwork wasn't all the way legit and some money got thrown out there when not all the details were locked down.

And if you're siding with URL on this understand this: they blocked the battles and didn't do it to book them. At the very least, they should book the damn battles if they're going to block them and I don't even like to hear that they've done that. That's that bullshyt. Hopefully, they'll clear the air (not on War Report but somewhere else) and even talk to Hitman about this.

That doesn't really matter. There are various reasons to block a battle. It could be to keep the performer from lowering their value , the URL has an event in the same month, etc.

The point is they are not gonna build these guys up for them to go to ball game battle league & take a potentially bad lost.

There was a period where the URL had nothing but trash coming out because of these "money" moves. They did contracts because they had to. I'm not gonna give you a history lesson, but there where like a 1,000 leagues 2-3 years ago. It was like a gravy train.

There still are quite a few leagues, but it was extreme & URL had to find a way to protect their product.

Nygga my personality is based on logic & being objective. I understand everything Hitman is saying. I understand how everything he says makes sense from his point of view.

The URL blocking these battles makes sense. I would do the same exact shyt if I spent time investing in these nyggas.

T Top signed a contract with the URL. He tried to do some funny shyt last year & battle Math on don't flop. URL shut that shyt down. We would not know who his fat ass is if it weren't for the URL. His fat ass would still be on SDH.

If Chilla Jones doesn't have those 2 battles on the URL, Hitman would not be offering him anything right now. I would not be surprised if Chilla is just battling exclusively on the URL.

Don't block it because there's some personal shyt going on that other battle rappers may not know about may be effected. I'm sorry but so far, everything Hitman has said is adding up still. He didn't dis non of them dudes for being like "yo, SM and NOME may not be in the cards for me if I do this". There wasn't even a muthafukkin' mention of a breach of contract. All we heard were ultimatums that they were given.

As much as I watch Smack URL, I've been critical on how they do shyt sometimes and put themselves in these situations. If anything, they need to talk to Hitman for real and maybe both sides can tell the whole truth.

I haven't listened to the interview.. but my impression of why URL blocks certain battlers is simple (and I think others have a similar view).

If URL is responsible for the battlers name being big (even if said battler worked themself up to the URL stage), then they block the battles to protect their own investment. If a dude diluting himself gives URL the perception of risking ticket sales, then you go cutthroat and keep that from happening. shyt ain't pretty, but it's part of this game, and many others.

As a fan, I don't like it for obvious reasons -- lost battles. But objectively, it's to be expected. In the NBA, if a dude's contract is up and you get a bidding war, you gotta bid that dude up or at lea

Why did chilla sign his life over to URL when he was actually doing good without them? After the DNA battle he couldn't even have bought tickets to a URL event and was left to fend for himself. Smaller leagues kept him alive.

Look, let's keep it real. Sometimes they cannot make those match ups happen on their stage. As much as some of you bytch about "oh, that battle should've been on URL's stage because such and such". Do you really think that every battle that you think should've been on SMACK would've go down as a classic or even better? Not every battle that's been on SMACK we thought would be dope, turned out as the best product as an end result. Now, some of those battles (like Aye Verb vs. Cortez, Hitman Holla vs. Math, etc) should've been on SMACK or somewhere else because that league screwed up. And certain battles you'd think are big stage material turn out better in smaller rooms and smaller leagues. And yeah, URL does one offs but who knows tho. Right after they do an event, they can't just turn around and book these battles that KOTD, Don't Flop, RBE, Black Ice, GW, and etc. put together.
