cal had no shot in that battle
cause lux fans always had that lyricist angle in they back pocket.
cal didnt handle that battle well at all. you sitting months to prepare, and thats how you come at lux?
its also the reason i never respected lux for taking that battle.
it just seemed like lux wanted a safe bet.
im def looking forward to him being in the face of a killer
til then i cant give lux many stripes. of course he looks great at the crib with a crowd losing it over lines like " you larry merchant you just talk a good fight" and "terranio, you dont have an idea what terrain you on" lol

everybody gets called out by somebody.
at the end of the day the top tier have to recognize who would make a classic with them so the fans can respect it. that rule applies to everybody else, that rule cant go out the window just because its lux
secondly math been calling lux out for years and we never saw that, verb just called lux out and it was "well he just doing battles to be doing them" yet cal been sounding like he freestyling and bullshyttin in most of his battles since the suge battle. lux talking math lost to cal. but cal lost to ored and rich dollarz, yet lux still took him. again lux just looked like he wanted a safe bet.

I don't really see how Calicoe was a safe bet, especially after he had won (rather convincingly) against Math and K-Shine. The only bigger name he could get was Hollow, but he got locked up.
But I do agree, one battle from Lux is not enough to just be content with it for the rest of our lives.

I agree Math vs Lux would be a lot more interesting. I could understand why he didn't take Verb. but Either way it seems like all roads leads to Hollow at the moment

cal win over math was comparable to swave win over ored, or clips over verb
its called a any given sunday win, just right day right time right circumstances type of win.
but if we keep it real, math at his best would wash calicoe. verb at his best would murder charlie clips. same with o red vs swave.
nobody with any common sense looked at lux vs cal on paper and doubted lux wouldnt wash cal. my anger always came because i felt lux didnt bodybag someone he should have and his so called bodybag is all overhype cause he a ny battle legend. if he was anybody else from anywhere else he probably would have gotten booed off stage.
but thats just my opinion. lux taking hollow and that is a legit killer. so if lux wash him, then i will crown him. cant do that now though. not with just calicoe, young miles, mook in a shoe store and 106 and park on your resume.

Lux choosing Calicoe is like a fighter choosing Ricardo Mayorga. Sure he's dangerous with a good resume, but he's never going to beat a technically sound fighter with a good defense. Calicoe was tailor made for Lux. Nowhere near the wordplay and a background that left him completely exposed to the OG angle. Like, you can't even listen to the two of them rap and believe they're anywhere near the same level.
Now Hollow?
Completely different animal.
