It's only because Jay Blac is biased towards a rapper that they don't actually like. If the bias was for Hollow Da Don or Bigg K this wouldn't be an issue.

I don't know about everyone else but Hollow is one of my fav. but I know he isn't perfect and when he losses, I accept that. And Bigg K, I gave him more losses than other folks have. So what you sayin'?

It's not about wins or losses or any of that. I'm saying people have such a big issue with Jay Blac having a bias towards Surf because those same people dislike Surf anyway. If it had been another battler it would go unnoticed essentially. Blac and other bloggers have other biases that don't get spoken on.
He needs to move out of Newark. I hate to say it but if he stays there’s no way he doesn’t end up back in prison

Because Surf has been overhyped and the one person who could probably keep it a buck with him is Jay Blac. And it feels like he isn't from the way he presents it. Who knows...maybe behind the scenes he tells him to do certain things but it doesn't look like it.

i like surf but i've always said he was overhyped, doesnt win, reaches, and chokes. when he's reaching or choking, he has good projection, pretty nice with the pen, and puts on a good show. that's literally all i ask for from battle rappers. i leave the hand-wringing about believability, girlfriends exposing personal stuff on IG and PSA call-ins to you man, i dont care if someone defends him or not
jay blac isnt a journalist because he's a dude with mics and a camera. his whole show was born from him doing recaps of battles, now he's cleaned it up a little and he's clearly invested, a little funny sometimes, and knowledgeable. that's it. he doesn't have to abide by journalism ethics, if he says funny shyt and talks about battle rap, im straight, i watch his show while i shave in the morning

The thing is Jay Blac does have influence in battle rap. That's part of the reason why this being discussed. I think in order to make more battle rap more fair, or better yet (Swave Sevah voice) Restore Order, we have to call out elephants in the room like this. Its about the overall game going in battle rap with bias. We all have it. From leagues to the battle rappers and etc,
