Verb kicked the door down, we don't know if any of these other guys would have been willing to knock.

Over time I've come to believe Holla would have eventually made a name somehow. But all the rest of the Midwest would have been pretty dry. They needed a movement to come in, and stay in.
The Detroit guys weren't moving the needle.

I’m with @FreshAIG on this. I tend to prefer to revisit battles with more than just bars. Bar heavy songs are an entirely different animal but when it comes to battles, I’d revisit Suge’s rounds vs T-Top a million times before I watch Brixx vs Nuborn. And this is coming from someone that has Nitty vs Solomon as the battle of 2017 and thinks Nitty has overall had the best URL rounds for the last 2 years.

Hollow said in his 15ofme interview yesterday that during Flight Klub he was shook before his Yung Ill battle because he thought Yung Ill was the nicest nikka in battle rap at the time. He said the second round for Yung Ill was suppose to be saved for the mainevent but Ill was so dope that he had to use it then.

Non bar heavy battles are 90% shock value for me, once that initial surprise is gone im over it unless it's that old school grimey street talk mixed with lyricism (old ill, rex, etc.)
