:aicmon: Frankly i dont believe in either aliens or angels coz i have no proof of either

BUT the alien angle seems more reasonable because given the size of the universe the mathematical probability is higher that there are aliens because the probability of angels is almost 0% Thats why i said it seems more reasonable.

I never said you have to believe in it, Im just clearing up a bit of what you stated.

The Brook
Genesis
1That evening the two angels came to the entrance of the city of Sodom. Lot was sitting there, and when he saw them, he stood up to meet them. Then he welcomed them and bowed with his face to the ground. 2“My lords,” he said, “come to my home to wash your feet, and be my guests for the night. You may then get up early in the morning and be on your way again.”

“Oh no,” they replied. “We’ll just spend the night out here in the city square.”

3But Lot insisted, so at last they went home with him. Lot prepared a feast for them, complete with fresh bread made without yeast, and they ate. 4But before they retired for the night, all the men of Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. 5They shouted to Lot, “Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out to us so we can have sex with them!”

6So Lot stepped outside to talk to them, shutting the door behind him. 7“Please, my brothers,” he begged, “don’t do such a wicked thing. 8Look, I have two virgin daughters. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do with them as you wish. But please, leave these men alone, for they are my guests and are under my protection.”

:ohhh::noah:

they tricked Lots dumb ass, and Yahweh was none the wiser to help him figure it out. They didnt want the men/angels, they just knew this dumb ass Lot would offer up the tender puss so he could keep tha man loins for himself... :wrist:

WRITTEN MESOPOTAMIAN MYTHOLOGY IS OLDER THAN WRITTEN JEWISH MYTHOLOGY, BROTHER! IT STANDS TO REASON THAT JUDAISM BORROWED FROM THEM AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, DUDE!

Im saying that the two accounts are referencing the same events.
Its not like the two are mutually exclusive but I will admit that the mesopotamians knew of it before the Hebrews but. honestly, during this time period ;Judaism didnt even exist

The Bible regards Ancient Mesopotamia as the first civilization that was constructed after the flood.
Post-Flood, the land of Sumeria was the center of human activity

In the 10th chapter of Genesis, it states Nimrod as becoming the first of kings of the world.

One of the descendants of Cush was Nimrod, who became the first of kings. He was a mighty hunter and his name became proverbial. The heart of his empire included Babel, Erech, Accad and Calneh in the land of Shinar. From there he extended his reign to Assyria. Genesis 10: 8-10

The founder of the first city states of Sumeria, Nimrod, was the great-grandson of Noah.

Noah>Ham>Cush>Nimrod

That would explain why Sumerian culture had a first hand accounting of the tale of creation (Adam and Eve) and the Flood story before Judaism was even constructed.
It was a direct oral accounting from the only survivors of the flood, Noah and his direct descendants which in turn found its way into the developing cultures of the time period

The first 5 books of the Bible wasnt formally written until some time during the rise or reign of the Egyptian empire. It was written by Moses. I believe this was some time after the Israelites escaping bondage from Egypt
I dont know the time difference between then and the founding of the land of Mesopotamia but it was a few centuries or more, Im assuming.
Anyway, that explains why the story was already in circulation before the Bible even existed

I always had a belief in God or Higher power but I wasnt religious, I mean I wasnt apart of any religion but through searching, the Abrahamic branches stood out from the rest. So from there it was either Christianity, Islam or becoming a Jew.
I choose Christianity

Did you ever question the rationality of this belief is what im getting at?

Seems lazy to accept a pre packaged belief system rather than form your own

not to mention that the "rest" is quite an extensive list if you count the thousands of religions that exist and the ones that have gone extinct its safe to say you didnt study them all how can you be sure youre at the right place?

CONSIDERING THOSE BOOKS CONTAIN THE STORY OF THE DEATH OF MOSES, IT SEEMS UNLIKELY THAT HE WROTE THEM, BROTHER!

The existence of a higher power?
I mean there are only two explanations and thats it.
You can either believe we are the product of creation or the product of a distant haphazard celestial explosion.
I happen to side with the former

Except its not being lazy at all, if any faith seeks to be objective than it obviously needs to be constructed on some type of foundation whether it be moral guidelines or an explanation of why the "religion" is neccessary to begin with or the deeper questions we all ask ourselves such as the meaning of life
If I go out of my way to form my own religion and follow my own sprituality than Im basically pulling shyt out of my ass and pretending as I go along.

Its a wide held circulating belief that Moses was the sole author of the Torah in Judaism but I cant really know personally.

Nope theres a third option called..I dont know...the unknown scares people though so they create myths to hang on to like a toddler clings to a security blanket which is how we end up with religion.

No offense b..What you call a foundation may and probably was someone else pulling shyt out of their own ass long ago.. Franky i would prefer to follow my own spiritualty if i thought it was necessary

I know you wont believe me but go study the pre bibilical ancient civilizations i mentioned and you will be shocked how much of their philosophy and mythology got into the bible..which claims to be a unique and divinely inspired book :comeon:
