Watched Final Destination Bloodlines today. I'm not sure if the high score is warranted, but I didn't leave the theater thinking it was trash. To me it was a decent ride. The best part of course were the creative deaths that occur throughout the movie. I feel the deaths were pretty well done.

Tony Todd was briefly in the movie but had the most impactful scene to me. Rest in Peace.
This good to hear

@storyteller The part that had me dying the most in Grave Torture

The way Adil straight up tried NOPE’ing the fukk outta the morgue when he turned around and noticed the missing body on the table. No walking closer to investigate on some YT people shyt. He said fukk this, I’M OUT. That’s some real shyt right there. :mjlol:

The demonic entities peeped game and had to circumvent by locking the door. :bryan:

:pachaha: He wasn't trying to find out at all. That little bro got the worst treatment IMO, from everyone too. The big sis was reckless as hell all movie long, and that dude was just along for the ride.

Adil at least tried to get outta there and got stuck. Sita was practically begging for some craziness to happen, and got what she was asking for.

It's kinda like a twisted version of Oculus. Two siblings who went through crazy trauma. One blames it on the supernatural and the other blames it on the physical world...both wind up in some madness :damn:

We just got back from 'Final Destination: Bloodlines' and tbh we had a lot of fun with this. There were some damn good kills and some twists that keep you guessing. The dark humor was hit or miss. We enjoyed it though, it's a good time. I'm a little perplexed about why it's being praised as highly as it is because I personally didn't think it was that much better/different than the rest of the series but overall I like the series and I liked this :obama:

I really enjoyed Final Destination: Bloodlines. It's refreshing to see a franchise brought back with a sequel that actually understands and appreciates the appeals of its predecessors. This didn't feel like a soulless cashgrab (ie: Exorcist: Believer, the Strangers, Halloween Ends).

It's a Final Destination movie through and through. It's got the twisted sense of humor, clever kills, and one last Tony Todd cameo (I honestly got a little emotional at one of his lines in the movie). They tweaked the formula just enough to make it unique while capturing everything we loved about the OG series.

I think this is a good entry point for newcomers too. They could watch this, then go back through the series and have a lot of fun realizing how many easter eggs were thrown in. I'm really happy with the result.

Granted, it's not a world-shaker or anything. But this is a top-three Final Destination movie for me...7 out of 10.

And it's doing blockbuster numbers right now given its budget. It's likely to make $45M-$50M this weekend which is massive for this. Great for the franchise, great for Warner Bros. (who is having an awesome year) and great for horror in general.

A horror film with the ‘Bloodlines’ subtitle that’s…actually good?

The new Final Destination was a fun ass time. A perfect send-off for Todd and for a main cast that isn’t largely known in anything else, I thought they did their roles justice. Harmon, in particular, who I thought stole the show. Would not be shocked to see him in another big studio film soon.

Usually most of the characters in Final Destination are written so dry that it does the newbie actors trying to make it out in Hollywood no good. Was not the case here. The family dynamics were written smartly and in a fun way where I thought there was some genuine chemistry on-screen.

Never would’ve thought Harmon would be standout coming out of the teaser trailer, lol. I thought the film lost a lot of steam after him and Joyner got killed off and couldn’t match those highs during the closing act.

A lot of chatter directed towards the Skyview Disaster which was fantastic in its own right, but that hospital sequence was an all-timer.
