I havent watched the latest one but seen all of them up to the Chris Rock one, but recently watched the cinemasins for them all(good background show
), I think the answer to that is maybe, with Blumhouse/Wan over it.That cinemasins shyt just showed how convulted shyt got when they tried to do a "story" with it. They killed Jigsaw in saw 3 or w/e and kept trying to find ways to shoehorn him in the series afterwards. Saw X takes place between 2 and 3.With Wan/Blumhouse over it I can see them going 1 or 2 routes. 1. They treat this shyt like a Final Destination(and most slashers?), where you just deliver on creative kills and dont bother trying to give some random/half assed backstory. 2. If they do try to give a story, they will probably take their time and craft one that makes sense and not all over the place like in most the movies in the franchise.
I think they need to also get rid of Tobin at this point, just do a clean cut with a reboot. Great face of the franchise and all, but he old as hell now. They should find someone new/keep the doll as the face.

I know they tried to do it a few times but I feel like one of these proteges needed to stick as the new "Jigsaw" so they could keep going in that direction.. shyt, they could have even turned Jigsaw's theology into a cult. I'd have been down for that. Don't steal my idea LionsGate.
