I heard the horror movie Triangle took inspiration from this Spanish time travel movie called
Timecrimes. On deeper investigation, that doesn't seem to be true. They were both in development during similar time periods. But I watched Timecrimes anyway, and it's a decent time-loop thriller.
A man accidentally gets into a time machine and travels back in time nearly an hour. Finding himself will be the first of a series of disasters of unforeseeable consequences.

It's a pretty self-contained story, with a handful of characters interacting. But it does a good job of establishing the day and showing everything from a new perspective thanks to the time machine aspect. The good is that it keeps everything tight, so that all the events add up in a way that fits together. You won't need a crazy map like people who watch
Primer. The bad is the MC makes some weird choices, though I can give him space since he gets increasingly unhinged and desperate as he tries to set things right.
The handful of chases, particularly in the first half, are pretty intense and fun. The ending is a nice combination of being messed up but fitting some final pieces of the plot together.
I'd rate it as a decent time travel movie for fans of the genre. It's also fairly average for a thriller. It's not one I'm rushing to recommend to people, unless they love time travel movies, but it's a passable thriller.
5.5 outta 10. Triangle is better.
