imo this fight was a complete disaster and shouldn't be counted as anything really. For both Maia and Weidman.

So if this fight shouldn't be counted for anything, how are you measuring Weidman as being one of the top MMA wrestlers currently? I doubt your watching all of his training and practice sessions, so you must be basing this off his MMA record, so what fights exactly helped give him this rep? How about this, outside of the Munoz fight has Weidman faced any other top MMA wrestlers to test him so we can actually get a real gauge on his skill level inside the ring? I'm sure beating Sakara and Uriah Hall is a good base to name a guy one of the top mma wrestlers.

I usually judge fighters on a pretty simple scale, your as good as who you have faced. If you went toe to toe with a top champ and still lost but went toe to toe, that gains you some points in my books. If you faced a bunch of low level guys (sakara, bonfeldt, lawlor) then how can i rate you as top shelf in any skill. To b da best, u gotta beat da best. not the 8th or 10th or 25th best.

The Last of the Outlaws

He really loves to talk Silva doesn't he, I get it that he's gotta hype up things to some degree but I swear anytime anything is said or written about Anderson there's a Weidman quote within moments online.

Anderson is going to catch him with something like this

Weidman exposed:

This cat that trains in the same area as weidman just exposed friends grappling

"CW does not realyl have that big of a ground game. Meaning the few grappling matches ive been able to watch him in there has not really been much technique more brute strength. Thats ok to beat the blue belt or the occasional purple belt but seldom the brown and for crap sure never the black"

"not saying AS has the most super awesome ground game but he does use technique tons better. In essence im saying CW is gettin chin checked in this fight"

He then went on to say CW is not among the top 10 best grapplers in his gym.

:whoo:

Hes already caught in the spiders web. :youngsabo:

It really has to suck to get cut from the UFC... what do you do from there - the point when you realize all that you've worked towards is telling you , you're either too old (and not A silva) or you suck.

There are a lot of lower organizations for them to work at. If they show and prove they can get back to the ufc.

It's really not that bad. Alot of these "UFC veteran" make more than the very low level guys actually in the UFC.

yeah being the main attraction as a UFC cast off does pay off for some with big names or at least exciting styles

Mark Hunt is scheduled to fight Junior Dos Santos, May 25th in Las Vegas, NV. The heavyweight, who lives in New Zealand, may now have put the bout in jeopardy:

Well thanks to a idiot friend of mine I did get arrested. Denied again at airport I'm never helping anymore dikhead mates. This is wat happens wen u have friends that are dikheads the last fukn time I help these mother fkn trouble makers.

He's still tweeting (see his timeline here), so that's a good sign.

With fight night just over two weeks away, Hunt says he was arrested in New Zealand thanks to some "!!head" friends he was apparently trying to help. In addition, his visa was denied for his outbound flight to "Sin City," which means he's currently stranded overseas.
