Marvel and Netflix have today announced that they've added three actors to the cast of A.K.A. Jessica Jones, the second of their shows to be released on the online streaming service later this year following Daredevil.

Daredevil reaches Netflix this April, while A.K.A. Jessica Jones will follow later this year at some point (Luke Cage and Iron Fist meanwhile are expected in 2016). Three actors have now been added to the cast, and they are Eka Darville (The Originals, PWR: RPM, Spartacus: War of The Damned), Erin Moriarty (The Kings of Summer), and Wil Traval (Red Widow). Darville will play Malcolm, a neighbor of Jessica’s whose life will cross with the private detective's in a surprising way. Moriarty will play Hope, a young girl who becomes a client of Alias Investigations, Jessica's business. Traval is playing a by-the-book New York Police Department officer. The rest of the cast includes Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Kilgrave, Rachael Taylor Trish Walker, and Carrie-Anne Moss in an unknown role.

Luke Cage Will Be Superpowered in 'AKA Jessica Jones'

One of my favorite Marvel screenplays of all time was Ben Ramsey's take on Luke Cage. We reviewed it many years ago when John Singleton was attached to direct it.

The current Luke Cage Mike Colter shared a few details on his upcoming portrayal of the character in the upcoming Netflix series AKA Jessica Jones while promoting the upcoming home video release of Halo: Nightfall.

Marvel actually gives you a special training class in how not to say too much in interviews [laughs]. We’re in the middle of shooting AKA Jessica Jones and Luke Cage is a very interesting character who just happens to have super strength and unbreakable skin. He’s a neighborhood hero, very much linked to New York and Jessica Jones. It’s all part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but Luke Cage is a darker, grittier, more tangible character than Iron Man or Thor. He likes to keep things close to his chest, operate on the hush-hush. He has these abilities but he’s not sure how and when to use them. He’s a very nuanced character.

I still don't know how I feel about Krysten Ritter in this :patrice:

Isn't Jessica Jones suppose to blonde? Looking at that pic it's clear she looks muscast. And has there ever been an anorexic Luke cage in any comic? This is looking half assed as fukk

Nah, she's got brown hair in the comics.
