This a serious question? Just because a comic book character has a Main Love Interest that he eventually ends up with, doesn't mean he doesn't have other love interests.

Peter Parker has several love interests in the comics other than Mary Jane, for example. On "Arrow", Oliver has multiple love interests other than Laurel.
shyt... didnt he have a seed with She-Hulk? i may be mistaken
if so my bad

My bad homie. Have never read the comics. My understanding was Jessica Jones was Luke Cage's wifey. Didn't know he was in a bunch of cookie jars.
Well Luke Cage debuted in 1972. Jessica Jones wasn't created until 2001. So yeah, he's had other love interests in the comics.

Mahershala Ali is a really good actor so I am cool with him being added to the cast.
I am hoping the chick they announced as possibly being Misty Knight is actually someone else. Maybe she will be Reva Connors, the chick that caused the rift between Cage and Diamondback.
being a good actor and being suitable for a role don't always go hand in hand. Cottonmouth sounds like a ike turner meets an doodlebug simkins. Marashala is too refined and safe to pull off such a role. Seeing him and coulter on screen as adversaries is going to be interesting considering they are both vanilla kneecrows

Nah Cottonmouth wasn't outwardly street. He tried to put on a refined persona. Think of it sort of like how Stringer Bell was on The Wire.
Here is an example of how Cottonmouth talked in the comics:

Marvel's Luke Cage has added another villain to make trouble for Mike Colter's Power Man when his series premieres on Netflix next year.

Earlier today, the studio announced that the show has added Mahershala Ali (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay; House Of Cards) as Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes. This iteration of the character is described as a Harlem nightclub owner, who will become an unexpected foe in Cage's life after his criminal ongoings begin to threaten Luke's world.

Ali joins a cast that already features Colter (Jessica Jones) as the titular hero, Simone Missick (Ray Donovan) as Misty Knight, Alfre Woodard (12 Years A Slave) as Black Mariah, Theo Rossi (Sons Of Anarchy) as Shades, and Rosario Dawson(Daredevil) as Claire Temple. Cheo Hodari Coker(Ray Donovan) is serving as showrunner/executive producer and will also write the series' first two episodes.

Big Fan of HOC. This is going to be interesting.

It has today been confirmed by Marvel.com that Misty Knight, Shades, Rafael Scarfe and Claire Temple are among the characters to have been added to the first season of Luke Cage. Simone Missick (Ray Donovan) is playing Misty Knight, a Harlem police detective who is determined to learn the truth about Luke Cage. "We know fans have waited years to see Misty Knight brought to life, so we had to find the right actress," said Executive Producer/Marvel's Head of TV Jeph Loeb. "Simone blew us away with her performance as the strong-willed cop on a mission." It sounds like we'll be meeting Misty before the loss of her arm then. Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy) meanwhile is Shades, a ruthless criminal with ties to Cage’s mysterious past. "Theo Rossi is a swiss army knife--no matter what you bring to him, he has a tool for it--and he’s playfully unpredictable," said Luke Cage Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker. "His Shades will be someone you hate to love."

Frank Whaley (Pulp Fiction) has been cast as Rafael Scarfe, a hard-nosed NYPD detective who partners with Misty Knight in their Luke Cage investigation. "Frank Whaley has a wiry intensity that he’s imbued in Det. Rafael Scarfe," added Coker. "He’s a great counterpart to Misty, and a wonderful actor." Finally, there's Rosario Dawson's (Daredevil) Claire Temple, a character it seems will play a role in connecting these shows ahead of the formation of The Defenders. Apparently, her blossoming friendship with Luke Cage will have a major impact on both characters’ lives. "We are thrilled to have Rosario in another one of our television series," said Loeb. "Her performance as Claire Temple in Marvel’s Daredevil was astonishing and we can’t wait to see her shine in Marvel’s Luke Cage." Which of these Luke Cage casting additions gets you most excited?
