You might could say he had a better season or two here and there but I wouldn't count that as him being the better player. Circumstances play a role in that, especially if its only one or two seasons of him being "better". To me you have to have a stretch of seasons to be considered the best and by saying Wade was a better player in some years would mean he was the best in the league and we can all agree :washedwade: has never been the best player in the league. Among them yes, the p4p best tho? :dahell:

Kobe was never the undisputed best.. NEVER..

:mindblown: the insecurity of yall ... is off da fukking charts

The coli is prolly gonna have to deal with 5-6 Kobe threads a day even 3 years after he retires sadly.

Dude hasn't played in 2 months yet they continue to force threads about him

that he was never the best player in the league?! Are nikkas really serious about this?! And I have seen this on this forum one multiple occasions.

That shyt just :mindblown:

He was the best player in the league for at least 4 years, from 2006 - 2009.

Stanning aside, I really don't get it.
The one claim I never understood was how ppl point to those offensive displays (ie the season he had a 81pt game) as proof he was the best player in the league. We all knew he could score and with phil/shaq gone there was nothin stopping him from going to get his.But what was his reb/ass/stl saying? :why: How come he epically failed in the playoffs without phil. Those seasons werent his prime they were just the ones he got his AI's on :yeshrug:

15 years later, people still talk about Jordan yet you have a problem with people talking about a player who's still in the league? All you clowns are so transparent...

On KRS One's nose, eating sunflower seeds.
It's more like the media and his arrogance made him unfairly hated. When they (not Kobe himself) started talking about him being better than Jordan years ago, the hate started coming Kobe's way.

Fixed and to be fair I am....er...I was a Kobe hater, now I'm just anti-Kobe. But to blame his fans is wrong, the hate started before he had a real following.

No, wade was not on Kobe's level ever. I had no idea there were two different NBA's this whole time cuz nikkaz ain't watching the same thing. :rudy:

You are example of posters who couldn't even think objectively. Wade had many great run in his career. Wade's statistics are there for anyone to check it , and to compare it with Kobe's career numbers. You are foolish to think that Wade hasn't play up to Kobe's level. :wtf:

1) The Jordan threads ain't nowhere near as constant and bad as the Kobe threads.

2) Kobe ain't Jordan.

The dude ain't played in a while and has been injured for months. There is no point in having so many threads about this dude exept for insecurity from his fakkit Stans.

Meanwhile Paul George has been balling his ass of and can barely get a thread to do numbers.

Read my last few posts I clarified that position, I admit that statement makes it look all the way biased without reason. But naw, I've always felt like Kobe was able to do the things wade was doing but chose not to whereas wade could never have the type of offensive prowess that Kobe has even if he decided to which is what separated the two for me from then til now.

Having a better season or two doesn't make you better than the best player which is the level Kobe was on, sustaining that level for a prolonged period of time does and that's why LeBron gets the nod now. Best player in the league is a discriminatory position, but then again everyone's criteria is different...someone said Chris Paul was the best player in the league at one point earlier in this thread so we're really arguing for nothing like we always do when it comes to this subject.

There are areas where Kobe isn't good as Wade. For example, attacking the paint is Wade's specialty, which he has been better player in that aspect than Kobe. Also, Wade is the better playmaker and always has been the better defender. Beside post moves and perimeter shooting there isn't anything else that Kobe could do better than Wade.

Nah, that deposit is thoroughly rejected. Laker stans and Kobe stans alike didn't give a fukk about LeBron when he first came to the league cuz that was the beginning of Kobe's career without shaq. nikkaz wanted to see Lakers/heats so Kobe could finally shut shaq the fukk up. Watching prime Kobe play basketball >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> watching anything lebron has done thus far.

But meh, this thread is almost like a spin-off of my "Why do you hate Kobe Bryant?" thread. There's a truly vicious hatred for Kobe and it goes beyond this place, listening to some cats on TV begrudgingly give Kobe his props is hilarious and sad at the same time. To me Kobe was the best from the 01 Finals til the 2010 Finals, all geek stats, individual awards aside just as players you gotta be a fukkin idiot to not take Kobe especially between 06 and 08 before his first finger injury.

I mean damn, I used to hate duncan so much I wanted to shoot a fair one with him regardless of if I'd win or lose I just wanted to fight this nikka when he ended the dynasty and ruined Kobe's game winning shot with a game winner that was then ruined by fisher. Point is, even with that hate I could never possibly sustain such contempt for a person I don't even know like these nikkaz do for Kobe, you'd think he were j.edgar hoover or some shyt. Blaming stans is a weak excuse too, hopefully yall realize that and enjoy whatever's left of Kobe's career. :ld:
EXACTLY!!!! these hating ass nikkas will nit pick anybody....The problem is there is no criteria for deciding who the best is, so I'm going to give my opinion on what it should be..

Rings + skill set (good to great inside and outside game, good to great on D, can finish at the basket, and a good closer) + consistency to me = the best player.. Kobe has all those and has done it consistently for the last 10 years. fukk all that this dude had an 81 pt game one seaseon, average 40 for a month another season, average 35 a season, only lost to the so called great spurs once in the playoffs been on the all Defensive team for the majority of his career. and has 5 rings. thats a lot to overlook....

from 02-09 kobe was better than wade in all those categories with the exception to defense which is arguable..ok maybe better playmaker but definitely not better at attacking the basket, plus wade wasnt as durable as kobe which is an underrated thing. and kobe was and is a better closer.

A nikka all Kobe could do was score. What the fukk separated Jordan from Bird & Magic, the fact he took tons more shots that they did, just to score a few more than Bird. He wasn't fukking with them on rebounds and assists, steals & blocks they about even as well and neither were so called great defenders. And who the hell was Jordan defending? Wasn't no good to great two guards in Jordan's hey day, Drexler that's it.

Wade was easily the best in 2006.
