they improve picture quality by tweaking your color, brightness, contrast etc. settings to its maximum potential.

ill look into it when I get it in a few days. Anything will be an upgrade over my monitors right now. My monitors are actually my bottleneck in my computer :heh:

Can somebody recommend me a controller for the PC? I just got MGS on Steam and need to pick one up.

Dumb question, but I'm about to pull the trigger on a 6tb hgst 7200 NAS drive. I won't be using NAS though. Can I just use it as a normal HDD?

edit: never mind. I was reading it can cause some problems. I guess I'm going to spend the extra $50 on a WD black 6tb 7200 rpm instead

edit 2: Just bought the WD black 7200 6tb HDD and a WD 6tb external. Now I can have everything installed and backed up :whew:

Saved like $300 too :wow: :blessed:

Throwing the current 4tb into my other computer.

the xbox 1 elite controller is well worth it, if you don't mind spending $150. Best controller I've ever used. :wow: If you don't want to spend that much, the x1 normal controller works just fine too (same with the 360 one, but I like the x1 one better)

Man, it's gonna take days (literally) to backup and transfer all my steam games to my new 6tb. Not looking forward to that :mjcry:

I got a boy who just replaced his 970 with a 980TI since he got a new 4K TV. Dude doesn't know a thing about PC gaming aside from putting every setting on ultra :snoop:

Dude talking about he's still not really satisfied yet.

Dude thinks having more powerful GPU's in his PC means graphics will look better. I told him that the settings in each game being maxed out won't make a difference if he gets a better GPU. Having a game maxed out on a 970 will look exactly the same when you have a 980 TI in; only difference is performance but dude doesn't really "get" what I mean by framerate.

People like that need to stick to consoles. Just wasting their money chasing expensive parts not knowing how to actually use them.

I have a 980 ti and a 4K TV. One 980 ti isn't enough to drive 4K at 60 fps. That's why I sold off my mini tix build and did a Skylake full atx build. when the 980 ti's successor comes out and the price drops I'll probably pick up a second.

My two Titan Xs aren't enough for 4K 60fps, all ultra, in a lot of games too. The current gen cards just aren't there yet.

i need a good pair of wireless headphones for my PC.
i had the Sony Pulse Elites but they completely fell apart in under a year and the battery life was ass.
they also did not fit on my head well, they slid around too much.

i am currently using Sony Golds. the folding hinge on the left side broke recently (after about 9 months of use).
i was very gentle with my Golds and they still broke. i'm using tape and paper clips to keep them together.
i love the battery life on the Golds and they fit great.

i just need a sturdy set of cans that are wireless and won't fall apart...built in mic preferably.

Astro A50s are the best in my opinion. Been rocking them for years. Kinda pricey though
