I will never understand why Black men who declare how much they want to be leaders then also make it a point to tell us that they will never be responsible for where they put their dikks and if there is ever an opportunity "to fukk" they will do it and its up to the women to say no. Why would anyone allow someone with that mind set to lead them? That seems to be the very definition of choosing a deadbeat, which is ironically what they are trying to argue against at the same time

Im not the biggest fan of feminism but I have to call it like it is. These posters are behaving in the same manner they constantly ridicule feminists about. They say feminists want to be treated like men but dont want the responsibilities that come with being a man, but at the same time, they want to be treated like leaders in the community but dont want the responsibilities that come with being a leader. Even though both parties share some of the blame the bulk of the responsibility falls on our (mens) shoulders since were suppose to set the example.

I find it funny at this point. They pretty much confirm the need for Black feminism, even though they hate it. Like, they honestly expect BW to hand over control to people who confess and are proud of their lack of control

Male or female, we go through periods of self pity and taking it out on the world. But we also need identity capital. Instead of looking at what we don't have, and looking at what we do have and what we can achieve.

I'm not talking about you and your relationships. I'm saying in general, a lot of people don't know how to pick a decent mate or be a decent mate. Its easy to sit here and say, damn she should've known he was a deadbeat, or he should've known she was crazy. But if your self-worth isn't where it should be then you're not going to choose a decent mate or be a decent mate. This goes for women and men. And then when you consider the fact that there are a lot of women (and men) in the black community raised by a single parent, why would you automatically expect them to value a "two-parent" household?

And even if they do value a "two-parent" household, how are they supposed to learn to communicate and compromise with someone to maintain that "two-parent" household if they've ever only seen them on tv and in the movies?
