Tried to run on extremely risk averse, unpopular platform. Also think most establishment underestimated Corbyns appeal with the young. 74% voter turnout among 18-24 group is pretty amazing.
Really shows you how lazy north americans are. There is an answer to exteremism, and its not the same warmed over crap that's been the core of the center for the last 30 years.

No, the parties themselves choose their leader, and the leader of the party with the most seats in parliament becomes PM.
so, why or how could May lose her spot then? don't the conservatives have the most seats?

Lack of confience from her own party. The party leader of the winning party becomes PM. If she loses her spot as party leader, she's no longer PM.
so the cons could still have a conservative PM if they all agree on one correct? are there any rumors of someone replacing her? I'm trying to make sense of all the celebrating I'm seeing on twitter from liberals
