Hiphop needed drake. He was carrying the genre on his back…
After that battle… hiphop ain’t really had no hits.
Like when 50 killed hiphop by attacking everybody
he contributed to killing it. lowered the fukkin bar..
In a battle, it actually doesIt don't matter how many nikkas was in it. Since when has a rap battle not expanded to more people? I can't think of a single one that didn't.

Who else in the top 40 putting out good hiphop thenhe's talking about Drake![]()

literally no one, didn't u read the thread title?Who else in the top 40 putting out good hiphop then![]()
I did, didn’t you catch the sarcasm?literally no one, didn't u read the thread title?
also, drake didn't retire. he released and album this year and multiple singles
meh, hip hop will be fine. it's not 1988 anymore. Rappers don't necessarily need billboard to get there music out there.I did, didn’t you catch the sarcasm?
I know he didn’t, I don’t check for his music unless it’s a major mainstream hit.
It goes back to my point.. nikkas got him out the paint, so his influence on RAPPERS making mainstream HITS that require thought and musical presence has jumped off the cliff.

Apparently it might not, didn’t you read the title?meh, hip hop will be fine. it's not 1988 anymore. Rappers don't necessarily need billboard to get there music out there.![]()
People really want to be told by white people what music to listen to, huh?
Apparently it might not, didn’t you read the title?
Hiphop (mainstream) is basically dead. And all the billboard does is show how much people like their music. Nobody likes this shyt like they used to.
Stats don’t lie
I agree with this. I've been saying this for awhile. Technology will continue to make it even easier with A.I. now. This and all previous versions of hip-hop from Westcoast to Boom Bap are played out otherwise they’d be poppin right now.
Someone needs to come up with a new sound, only downside is it’d get copied ASAP and saturated.
The last part is the problem and I’ve said it many times on here. It’s way too easy to make music today. If you have a computer you have access to all the multimillion dollar instruments and equipment studios are full of.
Exaaactly. I said it was way too easy to make good sounding, high quality music a few years ago, before A.I.I agree with this. I've been saying this for awhile. Technology will continue to make it even easier with A.I. now.
