I can't stand Jay, but no black person should be rooting for a black person's business to fail unless it's directly harming the black community.

And I agree that the media smear campaign is absurd, but there are lots of reasons why Tidal is flopping hard, from the rollout (atrociously pretentious) to the price for a service people already have (theu didn't even TRY to make the price comparable to already established streaming services that people have been grown accustomed to using for YEARS) to the shytty marketing scheme as it being something 'historic' and 'revolutionary' (wut), to Jay-Z compacting his errors by going on an extremely unlikeable rant on Twitter and somehow trying to tie his service's failure to racism, Mike Brown, and Freddie Gray (which was GROSS and disgusting and most likely something he read on message boards like this one)... The mistakes go on and on. A whole lot of stans in here are refusing to see this logically.

I also love how when celebs refuse to support Black people, the excuse is, 'They don't have to support just because they're Black! They're celebs, not activists!'

But when Black people refuse to support these celebs, it becomes, 'You should support because they're Black! Y'all are racist and want to see another Black man fail! I thought y'all were ACTIVISTS.'

So its really just the same as Spotify it's like opening a burger king across the street from McDonalds for market share but also having a high end menu. Google play does the same thing for their trial and you can cancel at any time. Look. We don't have to blatantly LIE to prove that Jay is appealing to our emotions, which is horseshyt. The HiFi version because I own a production company and have the nice speakers and headphones and wanted to see if it was legit and tidal is legit.
